Lay a whisper on my pillow,
leave the winter on the ground.
I wake up lonely, there's air of silence
in the bedroom and all around.
Touch me now, I close my eyes and dream away.
It must have been love but it's over now.
It must have been good but I lost it somehow.
It must have been love but it's over now.
From the moment we touched 'til the time had run out.
Make-believing we're together,
that I'm sheltered by your heart.
But in and outside I've turned to water
like a teardrop in your palm.
And it's a hard winter's day, I dream away.
It must have been love but it's over now,
it was all that I wanted, now I'm living without.
It must have been love but it's over now,
it's where the water flows, it's where the wind blows
it's where the wind blows
It must have been love but it's over now,
it was all that I wanted, now I'm living without.
It must have been love but it's over now,
it's where the water flows...
leave the winter on the ground.

The memory of this song, plays like a scene from a movie. We had broken up, and I was working in a mall in NY. She came to visit me to patch things up yet again, and as she came down the escalator in the mall I watched her, oddly enough this song was playing on the malls music system. We did manage to patch things up and stay together (Even lived together for a while) but she told me this song made her so sad when we did break up.
I just wish I could have done right by her, she deserved better. Thankfully I grew up normal and now have a great life and a great wife that I love very much... but the song still makes me sad for the pain I caused back then.
Sex for one night..
"Leave the winter on the ground " ...winter symbolize snow,white...and white symbolize..you know :)
"But in and outside I turn to water
Like a teardrop in your palm" .......
I hope that someone will agree with my opinion.

When i broke up, i began listen to Roxette & this song is one of my favourite.. I still miss that person.. She never told me that she loves me, but i loved her & still love so much..
I wish i`d never met her..
"Make believing... we're together...
That I'm sheltered... by your heart...
But in and outside, I turn to water...
Like a teardrop, in your palm...
And it's a hard winter's day,
I dream away...
It must have been love, but it's over now...
It was all that I wanted, now I'm living without..
It must have been love, but it's over now..
From the moment we touched till the time had run out.."
