  It's funny that you feel the need to comment on almost every E80 song saying Broken Promises is their only good song while bashing all the rest of them.
  
  As Loc4485 said, this is song meanings, not song opinions. Get the fuck out of here, no one cares about you.
  
  Now to the point....
  It's clear as a day if you pay attention. He's not hiding anything in these lyrics, he was obviously hurt by his lover.

  General Comment:sorry but this song is not lame, i think its good n the effect ( if you kno what that is) is one of the best in any song as of late. It aint amazing but it shows promise. Grow up n stop bashin shit, ok you don't like it great for you dont comment on the song, this is called song meanings.
  
  Therefore: i think it has alot to do with a bad breakup n how the person hurt most is thinking back about everything that was said n everything that was promised.
