I am the one, Orgasmatron, the outstretched grasping hand
My image is of agony, my servants rape the land
Obsequious and arrogant, clandestine and vain
Two thousand years of misery, of torture in my name
Hypocrisy made paramount, paranoia the law
My name is called religion, sadistic, sacred whore.

I twist the truth, I rule the world, my crown is called deceit
I am the emperor of lies, you grovel at my feet
I rob you and I slaughter you, your downfall is my gain
And still you play the sycophant and revel in you pain
And all my promises are lies, all my love is hate
I am the politician, and I decide your fate

I march before a martyred world, an army for the fight
I speak of great heroic days, of victory and might
I hold a banner drenched in blood, I urge you to be brave
I lead you to your destiny, I lead you to your grave
Your bones will build my palaces, your eyes will stud my crown
For I am Mars, the god of war, and I will cut you down

My Opinion:My view on this is that we're just shown an apocalyptic view of the epitome of human destruction.
The first third is about religion, with its own brutality.
The second part is about politics, with the deceit, control and power.
And the third part is about war, fought for wrong leaders for example.

These 3, religion, politics and war, are humanity's greatest murderers, and I suppose everybody can easily agree with this. You bring them together, and you've got mankind's destroyer.

    My two cents.

General Comment:It's about a lot of things and figures that manipulate and deceive us, notably priests, politicians, rulers, dictators, etc. The first verse references Christianity and how it's violent and cruel against Gays, Jews, etc.("Two thousand years or misery, of torture in my name"). It also mentions the Heaven/Hell/Sin concept ("Hypocrisy made paramount, paranoia the law"), about how if you don't live your life by a certain code and follow set laws, you will be damned for eternity. The second verse obviously references corrupt politicians, and the third references proud dictators and rulers who rule with an iron fist and have Nazi-like pride for their country.

Yep, that's one bad ass song.

General Comment:Lemmy said on the Motorhead website (In one of his Q&A things) that the song title comes from each verse describing a substitute for an orgasm.

General Comment:I've tried to look deep into the lyrics of this song, but there are so many possibilities and the internet doesn't really offer any explanations. Therefore, instead of making my head hurt, I take it like it is - with the cover art of the album as inspiration, the Orgasmatron is a giant train that'll fuck you up.

General Comment:It's absoluty a song that yells "UP AGAINST THE WALL MOTHERFUCKERS"...and probably a song that no leader will ever listen to!!...but...while reading the lyrics once more.....you know I see that "2000 years of misery..." and this may refer to the "obedience-thing" that all Christians have to suffer...and og course all the crimes commited in the name of "God"...and Church...Amen..huh!

General Comment:Lemmy has to be one of the best lyricists ever. Who else do you know that can use the words "obsequious", "clandestine" and "sycophant" in the same song?
