Lyrics for Be Here Now as interpreted by Stylus

Be Here Now Lyrics
Wash your face in the morning sun
Flash your pen at the song that I'm singing
Touchdown base living on the run
Make no sweat of the hole that you're digging

Wrap up cold when it's warm outside
Your shit jokes remind me of Digsy's
Be my magic carpet ride
Fly me down to capital city in the sun

Kicking up a storm
From the day that I was born
Sing a song for me
One from Let It Be
Open up your eyes
Get a grip of yourself inside

So wash your face in the morning sun
Flash your pen at the song that I'm singing
Touchdown base living on the run
Make no sweat of the hole that you're digging

Kicking up a storm
From the day that I was born
Sing a song for me
One from Let It Be
Open up your eyes
Get a grip of yourself inside

Inside
Get a grip of yourself
Inside
Get a grip of yourself
You betcha

So wrap up cold when it's warm outside
Please sit down you make me feel giddy
Be my magic carpet ride
Fly me down to capital city

Been kicking up a storm
From the day that I was born
Sing a song for me
One from Let It Be
Open up your eyes
Get a grip of yourself inside

Get a grip inside x5

C'mon x7
Yeah yeah yeah x4
C'mon x7
Yeah yeah yeah

Nonsense. There are tons of great songs on Be Here Now. "The Girl In The Dirty Shirt," "Fade In-Out," "It's Gettin' Better (Man)," "Magic Pie," "I Hope, I Think, I Know," and "D'you Know What I Mean?" All quality songs.

i agree with guitarjeezus be here now was a very underated album, fair enough its not as good as definately maybe or (whats the story) mornin glory? but its better than heathen chemistry and standing on the shoulders of giants

Heathen chemistry, to me, suk the most cuz they tried to make it sound like the first two albums n failed badly.
At least, for Standing on the shoulders of giants, they tried something new.

Definitly Maybe > Whats the story > The Masterplan > Be here now

The Masterplan's really good

PARTS of the masterplan are good... the swamp song and I am the walrus? need I say more?

I love Be here now, its my favourite album of all. I know I'll get shot for that, but still...

All around the world? The girl in the dirty shirt? Basically all but all around the world (reprise) are fantastic songs on there!

This song is cool. I don't think it means much, just sort of a "let's party" song. There are a lot of inside jokes and references in the lyrics. Digsy's Diner is the name of a song on Definitely Maybe, and looking at the songmeanings.net comments for that song, Digsy is just some friend of one of theirs who is picky about what he eats and apparently tells bad jokes? Some guy that one of the Gallaghers likes to pick on a lot apparently. So their idea of bliss is a magic carpet ride playing Beatles songs, well we knew they worshipped the Beatles anyway...

As for the album Be Here Now, I see a lot of people on the net commenting at length that it is an underrated album, but few people spending a lot of time saying how it's a lousy album. It's an okay album pretty much, some of the songs are just too long and have way too much guitar mixing and murkiness in them, but it's got some good stuff in it too. "Don't Go Away" is the obvious standout, "Be Here Now" and "The Girl in the Dirty Shirt" are good, "All Around the World" is good but goes on for just too long and overstays its welcome. I can't quite get to like the first 5 songs on the album no matter how hard I've tried, they're just murky and crap, sorry guys. But after having listened to it for 3 weeks, borrowed from a library, I might buy it just to complete my collection from the first 2 albums that I got which are excellent.

Oh - people must have notice that they borrowed some elements from other Oasis songs on this song. There's the "ow ow, yeah yeah yeah!" stuff near the end of this song, which is from "Columbia," and the weird water gushing thing which was on "Champagne Supernova." I have the feeling that there is some weird inside joke in this song that we don't know about.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves the album Be Here Now, I was kinda shocked at how much criticism the album got... i was absolutely blown away by Be Here Now, I think it's the most amazing album... and the title track makes me think of summer mornings when you go out and you feel like you're the best thing ever, a great feel good song

This is definitely one of my favourites off Be Here Now, although i love "Stand By Me" and "All Around The World". I think Be Here Now was a great album and it just copped so much crap because everyone was expecting it to be absoluelty fucking brilliant, after Definitely Maybe and Morning GLory, because i don't think it is as good as them

This song is fucking awesome and the beat just makes me stomp my foot to it. This song is a little on the badass side and is a pleasure to sing along with. The bass in this song is immense and the guitar rock-out in the bridge and the end gives me chills sometimes it's so good. It's one of the shorter ones on Be Here Now and also one of my favorites off of it. They do this song awesome live, too, when they used to play it.

Every oasis album is great. Best band in the world I can listen to every song they ever made (except supernova). Their b-sides from singles are just as good as album tracks. Just gotta go in with an open mind and not thinking "wonderwall"

this song means rock and roll - simple as that

i believe 'be here now' is a quote from john lennon to describe the meaning of rock and roll. This song is just about livin it up, havin a good time and not worrying too much about the past or the future - just living for the moment

rock and fuckin roll

I think the name comes from George Harrison talking about transcendental meditation
