We're leaving together,
But still it's farewell
And maybe we'll come back,
To earth, who can tell ?
I guess there is no one to blame
We're leaving ground
Will things ever be the same again?
It's the final countdown
We're heading for Venus and still we stand tall
Cause maybe they've seen us and welcome us all
With so many light years to go and things to be found
I'm sure that we'll all miss her so.
It's the final countdown.

Hopefully, humans will find another suitable planet in another solar system much sooner than 4,999,999,999 years from now. "Cause maybe they've seen us and welcome us all." And humans will emigrate away from Earth by choice or necessity. There will be a "Final Countdown" for many people who want to move the new place or just check-out which planet is better ("and maybe we'll come back to Earth, who can tell?").
Damn! I know it sounds weird, but I can't help but feel correlations between this song and some events that took place in my life.
I believe its more of a Cold War / Nuclear war song, but it is definitely about a mass exodus of the entire human population from Earth. They are hoping that whoever they know is on Venus will let them live there too. its also hinted that the humans are spreading across the galaxy to find new homes
("with so many light years to go
and things to be found")
This song is only good for comedic purposes, and AD is the greatest show ever.
Mankind has left earth ages ago and now, in a distant part of the galaxy, for unknown reasons, there are no women anymore!
That's why they "'re leaving together, But still it's farewell", returning to earth, maybe, .... where could they find females? in venus of course! but it's a long journey and that it's why we are all in a Final Countdown!!
