3) NEXT we began to slowly erode the financial and economic sectors to produce FEAR among our fellow American citizens, by creating a very, very BURDENSOME and EXPENSIVE WELFARE and ENTITLEMENT SET OF LAWS, not ONLY TAKING FROM THE RICH, BUT mostly from the MIDDLE-CLASS, in order to CREATE AN EVEN LARGER LOWER CLASS, WHO ARE FAR, FAR, FAR MORE EASIER GROUP to MANIPULATE and CONTROL their perceptions, because they're traditionally so ignorant and stupid...
They actually still believe that the rich white man is the one keeping them down. You see how stupid these people are. Because they're typically minorities, it's VERY, VERY easy to make the case that the SUCCESSFUL WHITE MALE hates them, and wants to steal all their wealth...
What these dumb ass people forget is that it was WE -- the DEMOCRATS who fought to KEEP SLAVERY... It was WE DEMOCRATS who had many former openly admitted K.K.K. members in CONGRESS -- and still do!!! (Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia)

4) Then, we'll begin simultaneously controlling people's guns and/or their rights to carry, purchase, etc. certain types of weapons... and at the same time, begin controlling people's mobility (their ability to come and go as they please), all under the guise of protecting the people from violent uprisings and the damage to the environment...
WHICH WE'VE NOW GOT FIRMLY UNDERWAY by HAVING CREATED THE C.A.F.E. STANDARDS, AFTER GAINING CONTROL OVER THE UNIONS, WHICH HAVE BOTH SERVED TO DESTROY THE AUTO INDUSTRY, SO THAT WE IN THE FEDERAL GOVT COULD TAKE OVER CONTROL OF THE INDUSTRY, TELL THEM WHAT TO MANUFACTURE, THUS WHAT YOU DRIVE, WHICH WILL BE CARS THAT ARE VERY VULNERABLE TO OUR BULLETS AND TANK SHELLS THAT WILL PIERCE RIGHT THRU THE SKIN OF THOSE CARS SHOULD YOU ATTEMPT TO RUN FROM AUTHORITIES OR ATTACK THE GOVT POLICE.
5) The next thing we'll do is to CREATE a CIVILIAN POLICE FORCE, much like the SERBIANS, the RUSSIANS, or even my favorite civilian police force, "THE HITLER YOUTH"... You see, we'll use the YOUTH of America, who have long since been brainwashed and thus SENSITIVE to our philosophies and our "heroes", like Obama... and this "NEW version of Hitler Youth", which Obama just tripled their budget -- called "AMERICORPS" -- now, doesn't this "Volunteer" organization have a catchy name that sounds very patriotic, like the "Hitler Youth"...
They'll do whatever we need them to do. At first, we'll have them take over all those charitable activities that CHURCHES and OTHER VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATIONS USED TO DO for the world community... like digging water wells for Africans and South American villages, and doing other similar humanitarian things, once we have them indoctrinated into the AMERICORPS system, we'll also have them go AGITATE and DEMONSTRATE ON OUR BEHALF WHENEVER some evil corporation or evil rich white man won't do what we want him to do, we'll just pick up the phone, and have them bussed over to his house to threaten his wife and children with baseball bats, billyclubs, etc. while we DIVERT the POLICE into OTHER CIVIC events or calls to other parts of the city...
Obama ALREADY has LOTS OF PRACTICE with this, AS HE HIMSELF CREATED a GROUP of ACORN agitators known as, "MUSCLE for the MONEY"... which were part of the same group who he called up and hired a bus to pickup and take over to the house of the CEO of A.I.G. last fall...
Hey, you "REASONABLE-MINDED, PRUDENT-THINKING CONSERVATIVES", you're a bunch of losers because you don't have the capacity to think the way WE DO... So, you might as well forget about it... We 60s and 70s radicals have ALREADY GOT THE UPPER HAND, and it is WE who are GOING TO ULTIMATELY TAKE OVER AMERICA.

You'll put your name on a waiting list for a GOVT ISSUED AUTOMOBILE, which will be called the "Obama"... manufactured by the new G.M. (Govt Motors). At first i hated this song...really grew on me. Perhaps about gov. restricting freedom...in this case the speed of flying about on a sweet ass car.
This song melds perfectly with Peart's love of motion and machines, another common theme in his lyrics and life.
Set in a future where combustion engines have been banned by the "Motor Law", the Orwellian "Eyes" must be escaped to committ the weekly crime; speeding about in a great old sportscar from a better, vanished time.
The song is derivative of Rand & Orwell, but I certainly mean no disrespect to Peart, as this is - in my humble- esteem - the greatest Driving Song ever recorded. I always keep it available in the CD player for when I encounter that perfect stretch of hilly, winding country road. Working the 5-speed stick with this song cranked up is nothing short of pure joy.
Haven't seen any gleaming alloy air-cars yet, though!
Also, the syncopation during the chase makes the tempo seem rushed (no pun intended) - communicating speed.
it isn't supposed to be a deep, philosophical song, the story is just a great vehicle (again, no pun) for a very sensuous poem. Ok, maybe a little libertarianism seeps in with civil disobedience.
This is a great driving song. Put the top down, turn the volume up, watch out for police with radar.
