    General Comment:well, it is true that they sing it after school, but the main singing of the song is before, durring the assembly that he crashes by singing this song, thusly causing the principal to call his dad. so you could say that the song says(in context with a bit of the rest of the movie) that if you try to stand out and be an individual that you will be punished.

    General Comment:ok, so it's from a goofy movie and an r&b singer with a high little kid's voice sings it. it's MOTIVATIONAL. who can argue? stand out above the crowd! i love this song.
