Lyrics for Blandest as interpreted by _4xeno

Blandest Lyrics
You're my favorite
Of my saviours
You're my favorite
Oh no

Yes you're my favorite
Of my favors
You're my razor
Oh no

Hey!
And the situation wasn't quite
As intense as I thought
I need you around
To remind me when not to be calm (Alt: To remind me what not to become)
And the situation wasn't quite
As intense as I thought
I need you around
To remind me when not to be calm
Calm, calm, calm

okay, i have no idea what this song is about, but i was thinking that it might be about self-mutilation. does anyone know what it really is about? i really want to know.

i think its talking about anything that can hurt you, with reference to cutting yourself. youre my favourite of my saviours, youre my razor
this could be talking about a person, who he is close to, and hurts him often, causes him pain, he needs them around to remind him when not to be calm ie, when he can be himself, and let go, "to remind me what not to become" someone who hurts people so much

just a thought.

I'm not sure of the real meaning of the song, but i like how it sounds. but in my opinion i just dont think its about hurting someone, or any thing like that, just because the word razor is used in the song.

I think kurt is using razor as a compliment. I believe he refers to razor as in someone cutting themselves, and people never cut themselves when they don't like the pain. Maybe he's refering to something that is saving him for the time being, but i the end will end up killing him.

I think that this song is about a relationship that isn't going very well. When he says, " And the situation wasn't quite as intense as I thought." I think it meant that he was very deeply into the relationship and suddenly it hit him that she doesn't feel the same in it. And how he's using opposite comparisons. Such as " my savior, my razor. " I think this shows how even though he loves her, she's not good for him.

this song is about stress, don't stress, chillout and smoke pot, dont get over-stressed, 'the situation wasn't quite as intense as i thought' it is in the context of a relationship. Youre my razor you cut me, but maybe I deserve it, get my drift.......................as in I dont care we all make mistakes, chill out!

I don't find it necessary to think about what it's about just the fact that anyone here actually tries hard enough to listen to music that was lost in the shuffle is a good person and has sense, I can only say I wish this song was played during MTV Unplugged cause the people would have went crazy for it... blandest rocks

Yea i kinda agree with the whole broken relationship thing but when he says the situation wasn't quite as intense as i thought. Maybe its about thinking your in love and then finding out that your feelings werent that strong and the saviours bit could be about girls that thought he was like a lost soul and were trying to fix him so hes calling her a saviour although sarcastically.

yeah, itīs about a relantionship of course.. with very heavy addiction. heroin gives us a kind of love/hate saviour/razor relief/pain relationship. altough it could about human relantionships, isn't it all the same? gess kurt was expert with double, triple meanings.. you hear it the way you want..

This song sounds like a relationship to me. However, I don't think that heroin is really what he is talking about here. The song was performed as far back as 1988, long before he was living on a chinese rock. I agree with the double triple meanings comment though.

This song is probably one of Nirvana's most underrated songs. Sounds like this is about coke to me.

i suppsoe the chorus is about a relationship, but the verses sound more like words that rhyme and sound cool with the rest of the song.

if this was a single nirvana it wouldve been an instant classic. although in a way i'm glad it's not so it can remain like our secret song that the majority of the public don't know about. does anyone agree?

I think he's being very sarcastic. Whoever he is talking about, it isn't his favourite or his savior...

I see this as a reflection on how it's like to be bipolar and having to deal with people. The 1st two stanzas could be him congratulating someone on triggering his mania. A "saviour" could be his expression of how he felt knowing that someone is actually talking to him and a "razor" would represent his overreaction. The rest would be him using that same person to get him back to where he was. Just imagine that he was "comfortably alone" until someone came along and began to "annoy" him... so he starts rambling about random things (acting out his mania) to wait out the person's stay. This could be a poem trying to share what it's like not being able to control his bipolar on his own, havng to use the trigger as a control. I could be wAAAy off but I see this as a note to himself before it was sung.

hy guys! Well i think this song haves a love meaning, between something that he thought was gonna be intense but then he realises that he was just dreaming or he get wrong about someone personalitie. I think sometimes we forget that kurt was a person like us and had some moments like us, the diference is that he he likes to be abstract. Thats what i think, it's a love meaning...
