Oooh
The machine of a dream, such a clean machine
With the pistons a pumpin', and the hubcaps all gleam
When I'm holding your wheel
All I hear is your gear
With my hand on your grease gun
Mmm, it's like a disease, son
I'm in love with my car, gotta feel for my automobile
Get a grip on my boy racer roll bar
Such a thrill when your radials squeal

Told my girl I'll have to forget her
Rather buy me a new carburetor
So she made tracks saying this is the end, now
Cars don't talk back they're just four wheeled friends now

When I'm holding your wheel
All I hear is your gear
When I'm cruisin' in overdrive
Don't have to listen to no run of the mill talk jive

I'm in love with my car (love with my car), gotta feel for my automobile
I'm in love with my car (love with my car), string back gloves in my automolove

General Comment:Haha, you've gotta love how adorably childish Roger was over that. ;-) Poor Freddie, though...

Roger Taylor's voice is underrated - it's lovely. I guess people are too busy comparing him to Freddie (who's voice is unbeatable in the specific style of Queen).

It's a real rock song. Truly.

And I find the lyrics amusing, too.

General Comment:I don't belive this, you stupid idiots!
If you don't like Queen and their music then stay away from Queen topic, stupid fucks!

This is simply a song about Roger's passion to cars. He loves machines and speed. That's it.
Great song, love the Rogers rough voice...

General Comment:This song is about a roadie that loved cars and driving and racing. It's not actually a song about sex.

General Comment:When I first listened to it I knew there was a struggle he was trying to present. Just the grinding gears alone shows alot and basically supports the idea of a struggle. Once I read someones comment about his homo sexuality everything became clear; Indeed it is about Freddie's sexuality. Basically the part about him leaving the girl is about Freddie's wife. He eventually left his wife because he was cheating on her with other guys. I also know that she was rather shocked by this because it wasn't an ordinary thing where man falls in love with another girl, he was cheating on her with other men and it seemed rather stupid to her. The song presents this with "They're just four wheeled friends now." If you do some research in this you'll find out that even with the break up she was still a major part of his life, and he said that she is the only true friend he has ever had; it's sort of irrelevant but I thought I'd share it. The other parts are pretty self explanatory.

General Comment:The Rodger-locking-himself-in-a-cupboard-til-he-got-his-way is true, and Rodger made the same amount of money as Freddie from Bohemian Rhapsody because he wrote this B-side!
Anyone think Rodger sings a bit like the guy from Aerosmith? Or maybe Rod Stewart...

General Comment:I also would like to mension that the only gay anthom by Queen is "We Are the Champions".

Lastly this song is great, if you haven't heared the Queen Live Killers version of this song listen to it. It's amazing.
