I am the Candyman,
Coming from Bountyland.
I am the Candyman,
Coming from Bountyland.

I wish that you were my Lollipop.
Sweet things, I will never get enough.
If you show me to the sugar tree,
Will you give me a soda pop for free.

Come with me Honey, (Oh)
I'm your sweet sugar Candyman.
Run like the wind, fly with me to Bountyland. (Oh)
Bite me, I'm yours, if you're hungry please understand.
This is the end, of the sweet sugar Candyman.

[Chorus]
Oh my love, I know you are my Candyman,
And oh my love, your word is my command.
Oh my love, I know you are my Candyman,
And oh my love, let us fly to Bountyland.

(Oh) you are my Lollipop,
(Oh) sugar sugar top
(Oh) you are my Lollipop,
(Oh) sugar sugar top

I wish that I were a Bubble Yum,
Chewing on me baby all day long.
I will be begging for sweet delight,
Until you say I'm yours tonight.

Come with me Honey,
I'm your sweet sugar Candyman.
Run like the wind, fly with me to Bountyland.
Bite me, I'm yours, if you're hungry please understand.
This is the end, of the sweet sugar Candyman.

[Chorus: x2]

I am the Candyman
Coming from Bountyland
I am the Candyman
Coming from Bountyland

[Chorus]

(Oh) you are my Lollipop
(Oh) sugar sugar top
(Oh) you are my Lollipop
(Oh) sugar sugar top

General Comment:wtf is wrong with you people? drugs? pedophiles? you're thinking way too much about this. it's a song. you're stretching it waaaay too much. some parts COULD sound like they're talking about drugs but to say the whole is about that is complete bs. they wouldn't make one part of the song referencing it to drugs and the rest random crap. complete stretch of the truth. all of aquas songs were (Seemingly) aimed at children. A lot of 90's song sounded dirty, (spice girls, b-4-4 and a lot more) but there common theme was love. the dirty parts were probably just for people who thought waaay too much about a simple song that has hardly any lyrics in it.

General Comment:I'm originally assumed that this song was about sex, but the whole drug innuendo is entirely possible as well. I would not for a second doubt Aqua pulling that one. Aqua, and in a broader sense the rest of Bubblegum Pop, love nothing more than wedging sexual innuendo and drug references into rather "innocent" sounding songs. Yet somehow only the hardcore fans seem to notice them, seeing as I've come across so many casual listeners who are baffled by the assertion. This song could very well epitomize my point.

General Comment:At my middle school, every Thursday was lollipop day. The organizers thought this song was literally about candy, so it got played over the PA system during breaks. It was the only decent song they played.

It didn't take too long for me to figure out the song was really about something else, but I couldn't decide the Candy Man's exact relation to the woman. It was obvious that she had an unhealthy obsession with him, but I couldn't be sure why that was or how much he took advantage of it (if it was just sex and he was taking advantage of her, why would she have to beg?).
If he's her dealer, that would really fit the sinister undercurrent in the Candy Man's vocals. He acts nice, tempting her until she's completely addicted. After she's "bitten" and she'll literally do anything for her next fix, that's the end of the "sweet, sugar Candyman" that actually pretends to care.

General Comment:I either think it's about drugs, or pedophilia.
    (weird, I know)

I think it's about a pedophile who lures a girl in and she 'falls in love' with him, being the young and naive girl she is.
She's addicted to him, but he's going to jail (the end of the sweet sugar candy man)

And if you look at the follow up song to this, it kind of seems like he's coming to rape her...
But I could be entirely wrong.
