my interpation of the song is;

the red pills are his anti depressents
and the blue pills are sleeping pills.

he is trying to chemical control his body but all he wants to do is die.

the song is ment to be ironic. its a pretty pop sounding song yet its pretty much about suicide.

I noticed that both this song and I'm not okay are about suicide nad both very upbeat. I think it is mena tot be ironic. However you can here the pain more in this song than in the other.

"Think happy thoughts..."

Sounds like someone trying to pull themself off the edge of no return. Their emotions are controlled by pills to regulate their moods. Doesn't sound like a great time to me.
I took this as a Peter Pan reference when I first heard it as well. When you think about it...who wouldn't want to live in Neverland? You'd never grow up, never know the bottomless depth of sorrow and depression... a sprinkle of pixie dust, one happy thought and you're off and flying.
Another awesome song.

And the blue ones help me fall " I havent played that game in fo-eva but i remember when yoshi eats one kind of dinosaur, he can fly. Im not sure if its in the red, blue order though.

i really dont think this song is about drugs. i think its about people.

" and now these red ones help me fly " -- i think maybe this is about a person that will always get him hyped up and ready to go. just like a total rush but always dissapoints in some way.

" and the blue ones help me fall " -- this is about the person who is always there to make him feel better when he is let down, but for some reason he underestimates this persons greatness and always goes for the red.

" and i think i'll blow my brains against the ceiling " -- i think this line is about being so confused that he just wants to give up.

" and as the fragments of my skull begin to fall, fall on your tounge like pixie dust, just think happy thoughts and we'll fly home " -- obviously a reference to peter pan, someone so full of happyness that never gets dissapointed.

i may be totally wrong though, there are alot of signs pointing to it being about drugs. but meaning is in the eye of the listener right?

this is one of my fave MCR because i feel like this all the time... i'll be in the middle of english n start singing it n Mr. Tarlow gives me a funny look... anyWAY... to me it feels like he is all suicidal (i kno where ur comin from g!) while he's also thinking about peter pan to make himself happy... i kno its weird but thats what i feel...

This sounds so Damn FAMILIAR!!!!!!!
I know i've heard it somewhere, maybe in a movie or a cover, but i'm pretty damn sure i heard it a million times before. especially the part after the intro and the chorus "we'll fly home".
But I think it's about taking anti-depressants
when you feel like killing yourself, and thinking happy thoughts to stay alive.

well for once i'll have to agree with b-angle, it's a very funny song even though it's about suicide.
but isn't it SUPPOSED to make you feel better?
I don't know about you guys, but i think this song is really good......but it still sounds so familiar.....are you sure this isn't a cover?

I' pretty sure that this song is about gerard chemical treatment, the red one are the anti-depressing, and the blue ones, the depressers to make him sleep. this song is about to be all day completly doped, and the things that makes you feel that pills "happy thoughs" flying away, but inside your mind.
