Every morning there's a halo hangin
From the corner of my girlfriend's four post bed
I know it's not mine but I'll see if I can use it for
The weekend or a one-night stand

Couldn't understand
How to work it out
Once again as predicted left my broken heart open
And you ripped it out

Something's got me reeling
Stopped me from believing
Turn me around again
Said that we can do it
Why'know I want to do it again

(Sugar Ray say)
Oh
(Every Morning)
Oh
(Every Morning when I wake up)
(Shut the door baby, don't say a word)
Oh
(She always rights wrongs, she always rights)
(Shut the door baby, Shut the door baby)

Every Morning there's a heartache hanging
From the corner of my girlfriend's four-post bed
I know it's not mine and I know she thinks she loves me
But I never can believe what she said

Something so deceiving
When you stop believing
Turn me around again
Said we couldn't do it
Ya know I want to do it again

Oh
(Every Morning)
Oh
(Every Morning when I wake up)
(Shut the door baby, don't say a word)
Oh
(Every Morning)
Oh
(Every Morning when I wake up)
(Shut the door baby, shut the door baby)

She always rights the wrongs
For me
Baby
She always rights the wrongs
For me

Every Morning there's a halo hanging
From the corner of my girlfriends four-post bed
I know it's not mine but I'll see if I can use it for
The weekend or a one-night stand
(Shut the door baby, don't say a word)

Every Morning
Every Morning when I wake up
(Shut the door baby, shut the door Ray)
Every Morning
Every Morning (Turn me around again)
(Shut the door baby, don't say a word)
Every Morning
Every Morning

General Comment:I love the melody. But the lyrics have me somewhat confused.
I love the "she always rights the wrong for me".

Song Meaning:I think it means that HE will eventually cheat on HER "I know its not mine, but I'll see if I can use it for a weekend or a one-night stand" os he has already "theres a heartache hanging from the corner of my girlfriends four-post bed" and he knows he's guilty and so does she but he's trying to lie to her "I know its not mine but I'll see if I can use it."

General Comment:Sounds like my Ex Gf lol I dedicated it to her when she called me out of the blue to "check on me" I agree with Jassss: " when he says the halo it means because she wasnt an angel that night. so she took the halo off and that`s why its hanging on the bed. she took it off so she`s not wearing it that means she did something bad.. presumable had sex.. cheated on him"

General Comment:I think it means he wants to have sex with her, and she let him go that far once, but now she doesn't want to do it anymore. Kind of understand? Like
Every morning there's a halo hanging from the corner of my girlfriend's four post bed - every morning when he wakes up and she's got her second virginity again, the halo being her innocence and goodness.
I know it's not mine but I'll see if I can use it for the weekend or a one night stand-He wants to have it, but it's hers and he cant have sex with her if she doesnt want to.

Couldn't understand how to work it out-how to get her to do it again
Once again as predicted left my broken heart open
And you ripped it out-she did it, but doesn't want to.
    Something's got me reeling
Stop me from believing-he thinks he can get her to do it.
    Turn me around again
Said that we can do it
You know I want to do it again- self explanatory

Shut the door baby, don't say a word- sexual reference
She always rights the wrong- makes him "be good" and not have sex.
    She always rights
    She always rights
    Shut the door baby
    Shut the door baby

Every morning there's a heartache hanging from the corner of my girlfriend's four post bed-it hurts her that they did it.
I know it's not mine and I know she thinks she loves me but I can never believe what she's said-told him they couldnt do it anymore.

Something so deceiving when you start believing- gets it, and cant have it anymore
    Turn me around again
Said we couldn't do it-she said no.
You know I want to do it again

My Interpretation:I watched the video that gbxdl recommended, and although it is making fun of the song... it makes sense. His interpretation, at least. He's saying that there's a halo hanging on the girl's bed every morning because she DIDN'T cheat on her boyfriend, but the guy wants to borrow the halo (which is not his because he is not so angelic) to get away with cheating on her. Basically a song about being a jerk. I think this makes just as much sense as the other interpretation that the girl is cheating... either way, great song!
