Dealing out the agony within
charging hard and no one's gonna give in
Living on your knees, conformity
or dying on your feet for honesty
Inbred, our bodies work as onebloody, but never cry submission
Following our instinct not a trend
go against the grain until the end

Chorus:
Blood will follow blood
Dying time is here
Damage Incorporated

Slamming through, don't fuck with razorback
stepping out? You'll feel our hell on your back
Blood follows blood and we make sure
life ain't for you and we're the cure
Honesty is my only excuse
Try to rob us of it, but it's no use
Steamroller action crushing all
Victim is your name and you shall fall

[Chorus]
We chew and spit you out
we laugh, you scream and shout
All flee, with fear you run
You'll know just where we come from

Damage Incorporated

Damage jackals ripping right through you
sight and smell of this, it gets me goin'
Know just how to get just what we want
tear it from your soul in nightly hunt
Fuck it all and fucking no regrets
Never happy ending on these dark sets
All's fair for Damage Inc. you see
step a little closer if you please

[Chorus].

General Comment:The album is thematic, with all the songs are about being under someone's—or something's control (with the possible exception of "Orion", which is an instrumental).

Only a couple of those songs speak of rebelling against control, namely "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)" and this song. So maybe "Damage Inc." is a kind of sequel to the earlier song. In "Sanitarium" the inmates have only started to rebel, while in "Damage, Inc." the rebellion is in full swing.

I've always wondered what "razorback" and "damage jackals" referred to but maybe that also lends itself to my theory; i.e. "Razorback" and "Damage Jackal" could be nicknames (thus, not "damage jackals ripping..." but "Damage Jackal's ripping...".

Just a wild guess, of course. I agree with the more general interpretations of this song too.

General Comment:I actually don't think this song is just a pure dramatization and celebration of violence. Rather, I think it's about how those who have been shafted in one way or another will want vengeance, and at least violence gives them some sense of purpose in life.

General Comment:yeah labeti is right, it sucks how most of you guys didnt get the meaning of the song. It should come as super obvious if you actually lived at least ONE day of your life trying to reject the forces of conformity.

My Interpretation:Blood after blood, one family, becoming one, all those that follow him will get it, death, from satans company, they hunt at night to tear it from your soul. His corporation wants to take down as many as possible, and lead them to death. Why are people so blind, and who would party with the devil except silly fools who think they're cool, saying to themselves "metallica rocks" when this band delivers a message of death. Go on, give your lives away... You'd rather give it up, for what? This is the ultimate conformation, following satan to death, it's slavery, I'd rather have freedom, choose Jesus! He offered his life out of love to us all, where we are right now. But Satan and all the fallen ones want you to be foolish and give it up! For goodness sake, where are the brains here?

General Comment:metalupyourass (5th comment, 1st page) has it right. It's about the uncompromising struggle to preserve your place in this life - your values, your morals, who you are. To break free from the oppression, you have to be relentless, merciless, sometimes even violent, and most importantly - stick to your instincts.

Don't think too hard about the lyrics, because they will only confuse you more and more. It's the music you should concentrate on.

General Comment:This feels like a sequel to Seek & Destroy to me, basically taking revenge for what an enemy of you has done to you and beating the living shit out of him.

    >>> The song is about metallica and their style - they simply dont give a shit and they will play their bad ass music no matter how many people think they are too heavy or stuff, rock on until you bleed

General Comment:I look at it from a different angle -- The song looks more like terrorism and genocide to me, and how people outside of it are prevented from knowing it's horrors as much as possible by groups like the government and the harmful groups themselves.

"Dealing out the agony within charging hard and no one's gonna give in" -- The harmful group won't stop because nobody with any power will attempt to stop them.

"Living on your knees, conformity, or dying on your feet for honesty" -- Don't just sit there and be blind, learn about the genocide in Darfur, when it happened in Rwanda, and ACT. The Holocaust wasn't the only one.

"Inbred, our bodies work as one. Bloody, but never cry submission." -- The victims should never submit, and never should the rest of the world. Don't allow it to exist, band against it as one.

"Following our instinct, not a trend, go against the grain until the end." -- Just because you're told not to worry about it doesn't mean you shouldn't. Listen to what you're telling you, not what others are telling you.

"Blood follows blood and we make sure. Life ain't for you and we're the cure." -- The hate and violence in genocide leads to more violence and hate. Also genocide is also referred to by the damaging groups as "ethnic cleansing" or a purging of the genetic pool.

"Honesty is my only excuse, try to rob us of it, but it's no use." -- Genocidal groups often truly believe the others deserve to die and cannot be convinced otherwise. Also the truth (honesty) cannot be destroyed, only covered up by the gov't.

"Steamroller action -- crushing all, Victim is your name and you shall fall." -- Again, genocide is a force that cannot be stopped by a few small groups here and there, it must be one banded movement against it, or they will simply fall.

And now i've been typing for almost 15 minutes on one comment. Right.
