    General Comment:This is the song you listen to when you just feel like dying. It makes you want to die all the more. It affirms your inner feelings of self-hatred, which, as a revelation to your consciousness, can make you feel good. It's good to get our emotions out into our consciousness. Music can do that. So can writing. Especially if you have nobody to talk to, you've got to take it into your own hands by whatever means you can. If listening to depressing music gets it out, so be it. I love the sorrowful melodic tones in this song. They let my soul fly and my dying heart twitch, as though returning to life in harmony with the bleak lyrics.

    My Interpretation:I believe that this song seems to be about how fragile life is but deep down in James' heart, it is about loneliness. James' mother passed away from cancer when he was only 16 years old and I believe that deep down inside, the lyrics are about him missing his mother.

    "Things not what they used to be

    Cannot stand this hell I feel"

    These exact lines specify that the death of his mother took a part of his life and that he doesn't want to believe the fact that his mother is not with him.

    My Interpretation:This song is about suicide. "I have lost the will to live. Simply nothing more to give" This verses explains it. He was tired about his life. "Need the end to set me free." He wants leave his world, he wants die, he wants suicide. All song he talks about he is sick of it all. And in the end: "Death Greets me warm, now I will just say goodbye." He'll say goodbye, he'll die.

    I got this interpretation because i'm feeling like him. i have lost the will to live too. Maybe i'll could set me free.

    General Comment:This song was wrote after there equipment was stolen.. Whether or no that was the reason they wrote it about that only theyll know but its one of there best songs in my book.. Had a hard time awhile back and this song was played out in my car.. Helped me get through it.. GREAT SONG!

    General Comment:If you didnt notice the album, Ride The Lightning is based around death, which is probably because james was obsessed with it. The song is about someone who just gives up in life because they cant handle it anymore. In the last lyrical parts he is thinking is worth taking my life but he knows the pain wont go away so he just says goodbye anyway

    General Comment:The songs lyrics are talking about a person who feels that their life sucks and there is nothing worth living for anymore so whats the point in living? His life is just nothing and all he feels is torture through himself and just wants it to end... feels like it would be better for him and everyone if he was just gone, and he wouldnt have to worry about anything anymore... he would be free...
