Is this what it's like?
A dream lacking serenity?
A wordless conversation, a "you and I" without me.

Well I try and I won't get far,
I'll die and I won't get far,
I'll try and know that everything's okay.

SSSSSo I guess this is where I lie.
Where the days are endless and the nights, they just don't belong. [x2]

Dreaming my reality
Where truth and fiction don't seem to exist.
Confusion is home here, but believe in you is what you insist (it's what you insist).

Well I try and I won't get far,
I'll die and I won't get far,
I'll try and know that everything's okay.

So I guess this is where I lie.
Where the days are endless and the nights, they just don't belong. [x2]

Nights, don't belong, the nights, don't belong, and the nights, they just don't belong. [x3]

(Nights don't belong) I'll never be ok, as long as I'm dreaming a reality. [x2]

General Comment:I really enjoy this song, the production is great, and the bass is pretty loud, which is a plus in my book.

General Comment:Because a band dosn't write music that's easily accessible to the mainstream dosn't mean they are more musically talented or that they've even done anything for the music industry at all other than generate record sales. I love Senses Fail lyrics/music and I will admit some of them are deeper than others BUT there are many more well written songs then there are shallow. And then even the shallow ones are at least worded well. In regards to the whole Thursday crap, I 'd have to take sides with emerica. I've been in and out of bands the last 6 years and can completely understand how being young can boost song writing. Where is this "innovation" of thursday of which you speak of? That of which you say they do "time and time again"?. How original. I'm sorry that every band dosn't want to save the world(because they can't). Maybe if U2 and thursday got toegther they could save a baby seal. If I wanted to be preahced at I'd go to church.

General Comment:and another thing, people are always saying what they think the song means, most of the time you're wrong because senses fail doesnt mean what they say. most of what they write are metaphors for bigger challenges in life.

General Comment:im going to have to disagree with both jetblack05 and emorific. im in a band and i've been it for about 5 years and i know what everything is about and how difficult making music truly is.

yes, thursday is much more mature than senses fail with their lyrics and with their instrumentals, but that can sometimes be a bad thing. thursday is really not one of those bands that you can listen to for hours on end because they kind of get annoying after a while. each song sounds basically the same. senses fail is obviously less mature than thursday but they're still young, and being less mature can be a huge upside to things. senses fail has much better instrumentals whether anyone likes to admit it or not, each song is filled with not exactly the easiest guitar parts and drum lines. bite to break skin is a huge example. i'd be very impressed if anyone on this site could play that opening guitar solo. thursday would never have the balls to do something like that. senses fail is so immature that it makes them feel invincible and that makes them take risks in their music by putting things in there that even they can barely play, and that what makes them such an awesome band. they push themselves to the limit.

General Comment:jetblack05, i completely agree. while senses fail is a decent band, enjoyable to listen to, they have done nothing for music the way thursday has. between thursday's instrumentals and lyrics, senses fail will never be able to hold a candle them. senses fail is another typical drive-thru band, fun to listen to, put on a good show, but when it comes to making new and innovative music, they just dont have it. maybe they will, but apparently they are a little too blinded with their ex, not noticing the much larger problems in the world that thursday addresses time and time again in such poetic and pleasing music. but senses fail is enjoyable, i'll give them that, and this song is one my favorite by them.
