Well the money's pouring down
And the people all look down
And it's floating out of town

I hit the second deck
And I spent my paycheck
And my wife that I just met
She's looking like a wreck

Casino Queen
My lord you're mean
I've been gambling like a fiend
On your tables so green

I always bet on black
Blackjack
I'll pay you back

The room fills with smoke
And I'm already broke
And the dealer keeps on joking
As he takes my last token

Casino Queen
My lord you're mean
I've been gambling like a fiend
On your tables so green

Casino Queen
My lord you're mean
I've been gambling like a fiend
On your tables so green

General Comment:this is how i feel almost every weekend. and i don't even gamble. just spending yourself on a good time, maybe regretting it the next day, but still getting to meet interesting people and learn the "hard way" how to be "responsible."

General Comment:I love cowbell's, can't get enough of those cow bells. The best part of the song is the talking halfway through, it just seems to me like a good time. To shes_a_jar: awsome 5ft would be great. I'm gonna be 2 feet away this summer with the Lyons folk fest...just to Tweedy though, not that that's a bad thing.

General Comment:Pretty straight forward tune about being down on your luck on the Casino Queen. Being a Yankee Hotel Foxtrot convert I guess this is what's meant by Alt Country. I like it. The riff at the beginning is great and I'm cool with any song that utilizies the cowbell.

General Comment:The Casino Queen is a riverboat casino located directly across the Mississippi river from the St. Louis Arch. St. Louis is about 15 miles away from Jeff Tweedy's hometown of Belleville, IL.

General Comment:This was the song that really got me into Wilco. It's just an all-around fun song to sing at the top of your lungs. Especially when you're at a Wilco concert, 5 feet from Tweedy and John Stirratt.
