Lyrics for Borellus as interpreted by cKyFrEaK

Borellus Lyrics
Essential salts of animals
Be so prepared and preserved
That an ingenious man
May have the whole Ark of Noah in his own
Study and raise the fine shape of an animal
Out of its ashes at his pleasure
Ahhh, ahhh
Oh

Unhappy is he to whom the memories of childhood
Bring only fear and sadness
Oho, yes lovely
Wretched is he who looks back upon lone hours
In vast and dismal chambers
With brown hangings
And maddening rows of antique book
Watch them in twilight groves
Oh,in twilight groves
Oh,in twilight groves
Ah

By method from the essential salts
Of human dust
A philosopher may call up the shape
Of any dead ancestor
From the dust where into his body
Has been incinerated, incinerated, incinerated

You're under pressure baby
Christ has returned
He's returning in every newborn child
In every newborn child
In every newborn child

Essential salts of animals may
Be so prepared and preserved
That an ingenious man
May have the whole Ark of Noah in his own
Study and raise the fine shape of an animal
Out of its ashes at his pleasure

You're under pressure
Christ has returned
He's returning in every newborn child

You're under pressure baby
Christ has returned
He's returning in every newborn child
In every newborn child

this is one of HIMs best songs. they are all great though...their fast songs tend to be very good.

Most of the lyrics is from the book The Case Of Charles Dexter Ward by HP Lovecraft. It's probably teh scientist Borelli who wrote it in one other book. It's about waking dead people up...Read the book, it's very interesting..

ville's voice is amazing, i can honestly say that i think he has the best voice like ever...cuz i mean think about it: he can go really really deep, and then he can also go really high....and he can also really sing with only a slight rasp in his voice kinda like in the chorus in buried alive by love...thats just me tho i jus think hes so versatile....this song is awesome it is really different and cool...their old shit like on the '95 demo is alot harder and its really good

"The essential Saltes of Animals may be so prepared and preserved, that an ingenious Man may have the whole Ark of Noah in his own Studie, and raise the fine Shape of an Animal out of its Ashes at his Pleasure; and by the lyke Method from the essential Saltes of humane Dust, a Philosopher may, without any criminal Necromancy, call up the Shape of any dead Ancestour from the Dust whereinto his Bodie has been incinerated.
- Borellus"

This text can be found in the beginning of a short-story called The Case Of Charles Dexter Ward by H.P Lovecraft.

I recently read that story. I heard it was from an H.P. Lovecraft story, but I didn't know which one, and I had to wait til the end of the book for that story, but I squealed with delight (in my mind) when I saw that passage. But yes, this song is about resurrecting the dead with their ashes. Ville sounds really interesting in this song. Very deep (and very sexy) voice. I don't know many people who can take a passage from a book and make it into a song. I do wish I had that demo cd though. I can't seem to find the songs anywhere. Sorry for the long comment everyone.

Personally, I think he's raising animals from the dead... This man could have the "Whole Ark of Noah in his study"... To me that means he's resurecting dead animals for his pleasure of doing what ever he wishes with them.

This song is very different from most of HIMs stuff. Valo's voice is also very different. I don't know if it's for better or worse, but it's still... strange. Valo wrote the lyrics based off of Lovecrafts' book The Case Of Charles Dexter Ward.
Good song, good lyrics, weird vocals
