Oh com'on guys dont go all mushy on me! It's a great song yeah but do none of you glimpse the slightest slice of cheese? Ive never used the word 'lucky' to decribe my situation with a girl cos i think we deserve each other and there's no point in being modest or worshipping her even if you cant live without her. Also he doesnt mention much that's personal does he?
I, for instance, knew a sound engineer friend of mine who wrote a song for his girlfriend and she cried cos she couldn write lyrics to do the same for him. BUT the guy asked her to play a CD he made. On it was a song cut together from all the beautiful things she'd said to him in her sleep! and then she cried, and he cried.. and i watched them just crying out of joy!
Luckiest is a good song but unless you see sthing like that up close... but, god, isnt that beautiful? |

I really think this song is a bout child abuse as elliot is angry at someone he cant really hurt. He refers either to a sister or his mother with 'swollen cheeks'. 'he could be cool and cruel'. more evidence for this was its use in Good Will Hunting. The lo-fi guitar really feels like its burning angry. amazing. |
