I really like this song too, and like most people I do think that pinkerton is best with the blue album in second. The reason i believe that rivers won't make another pinkerton or make more albums like it is because nobody would pay attention to it when he first released it. It sat on shelves collecting dust for a long time while people who were weezer fans were busy listening to limp bizkit and korn and all that pathetic crap. By the time they finally started listening to it, Rivers had already been through a long, painful mental hell and just wasn't interested in the Pinkerton stuff anymore. I kinda says that you should appreciate something while it lasts or whatever, I think i'm rambling terribly here, oh well. |

I know I said I'd never come back, but I just couldn't resist. It surprises me how all you pussies who believe Kurt was murdered all keep bitching about how people are attacking you for what you call your "opinions" but then you all hypocritically do the same to anyone who believes his death was a suicide. To tell the truth, the reason I lashed out at all of you the way I did was because at every other website I've been to, you all do the same to me and others who for good reason believe it was suicide. And also adis, you only need to post your comment once, okay? Maybe you'd like it if I had something of mine up your ass instead? Well, before I ramble on here I just want to say I don't care what the hell any of you believe. To have your own belief is a good thing, and even if you are trying to spread it around like a plague and make people feel bad for liking Courtney Love, it's okay, whatever. Hell, i won't be surprised if after this, people are going to start accusing me of BEING Courtney Love and repeatively calling me a bitch for no reason at all. Well, anyway, before I have more Korn, Slipknot, and Mudvayne worshipping, courtney love-hating, psychos writing about how stupid I am for actually believing it's possible for a person, who is worshipped by some morons as a god instead of a person, to actually kill themselves, I'll get out of here and write some comments for Pearl Jam. And so there are no hard feelings, I'll leave a smiling face :). He he, isn't it good to be open-minded? |

I'd say Kurt Cobain. Hillel Slovak didn't have pale blue eyes or whiskers. He also says that the first time he saw him was backstage, so it couldn't be hillel since he and hillel were highschool buddies and such. |

This to me appears to be about fads or "trends." Kurt seems to be saying that throughout the 20th and 21st centry people have mindlessly been following trends. He could also be talking about how repetitive history seems and how it's dehumanizing society. Either way, it's still a good song. I'm not sure if my interpretation is correct, but at least it's an attempt, considering that nobody else seems to want to say anything about it. |

In response to those who responded to me. I will not back off. I will admit that I was in a bad mood the night I wrote that review, but I'm still going to tell you all that Kurt was the one who ended his life, not Courtney. I can tell you sensitive types were offended by my remark and even went as far as telling me that Kurt had tears in his eyes after unplugged. Sorry, but if he had tears in his eyes, it wasn't for fan appreiciation, it was for the fact that the audience only got excited for the nevermind songs and totally ignored his heart-wrenching songs from In Utero. I do believe it was people like you Courtney Love witch hunters who made him kill himself. By the way butterfly girl, I'm not yelling at you for your opinions, only your ignorance. I'm sick you people thinking you can change the world by lying about something like Kurt's death. He killed himself, end of story. Don't believe me? Ask Dave Grohl, Chris Novoselic, Courtney Love, Bev Cobain and about everybody who knew or knows about Kurt. practically the whole world Believes the suicide theory, so give up, we win. Stop Blaming people like Eddie Vedder, Courtney Love, and Pat Smear for his death. I'm sad he's gone too, but he ain't gonna come back if you say he was murdered, especially when you're stooping so low as to blaming the people he was close to. Don't bother responding to me with more of your "MURDER EVIDENCE" I'm moving on with my life and won't be back to this section of the site again.

This song to me is about being different and people stereotyping and judging you for it, but i don't know for sure. As for those who keep saying Kurt was murdered, GET YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR ASSES AND ACCEPT THE TRUTH! Why would he make a song called "I hate myself and want to die" and do extensive amounts of heroin if he weren't suicidal. It was people like you who made him kill himself. By the way, he loved Courtney and she loved him. Grow up and be realistic. Next you'll say that Elvis Presley came back from Mars(Cus he isn't really dead either is he?) and killed him. Peace.
