astepcloser24, The lyrics your referring to are the bits what say (scat singing). Its because in th song Bono says them kina of quiet and fast a bit mumbled! Personally, i think this song is about hows the world is kinda messed up, everything seems to be backward: "it's the blind leading the blond... it's the cops collecting for the cons" And at times it's looking pretty damning. Some peoples views on it is how can love or hope or faith solve anything in the world(it can't light up your christmas tree can it). Theres no Faith or Hope that things will get better, and to some people God doesn't seem to be doing anything about it. But i think it's simply posing the question; If God DID send his angels, or if God DID send a sign, would everything be alright? |

| No it's not Billy Graham. Graham is a respectablt christian. He's not your typical TV evangilist. He's an evangilist who's sermons get televised. He doedn't ask for money. I believe Phil dresses up as Benny Hinn - he's a tv evangelist with greyish hair(looks like a wig lol). He asks for money and all that. He sounds very suspect to me in his sermons but i think his reasons are good-hearted really. Anway great song, brilliant band. But yea the song is about Benny Hinn type people. | |
