this is my fav song off their last album. it is very beautiful indeed.. although it's different from their sound i am really glad they decided to record this song as well. i don't know what this song is about but it makes me feel really good.. part of the song is about his relationship with his father i think and how much the past have hurt them both. i think that daniel had written this song when he realised he got better and now that he is looking back he's saying "after all these years, forget about all the troubled times.." which could be meaning something like ".. it's over now, it's okay.." maybe now he is not afraid of life anymore. this is just how i pretend this song of course but for daniel, i hope this is how he pretends this song as well because that would mean he is feeling much better than before and that's a good thing ! |

i cried the first time when i heard this song. the lyrics are amazing. i'm not really into rap either but this one is so much better than most rock-songs that i know. the lyrics really touch my heart and the sample that he used from aerosmith's dream on is perfect for this song. it suits the song.. i listen to this song almost everyday and i could listen to it endlessly. i don't think i could ever get tired of this song because i love the lyrics so much. it's so true.. more people should be realising this |

this song wasn't meant to be sarcastic. kurt really did love courtney and this song is just another love-song. not a typical love-song but it is a love song. it's funny cuz my friend recently asked me what this song was about so we did discuss this song too couple of days ago.. "She eyes me like a pisces when I am weak." = kurt was pisces.. courtney knew when kurt was weak and took advantage of this "I've been locked inside your heart-shaped box for a week." = courtney had seduced kurt by giving him a heart-shaped box full of cute little nice things, incl. drugs "I was drawn into your magnet tar pit trap." = she gave him the drugs ( tar ) he needed "I wish I could eat your cancer when you turn black." = well kurt has said it was about children who got cancer but kurt as well as courtney were known to lie a lot to the press, simply because they thought it was none of their business what the songs are about.. i think this line means everything when it comes to his love for courtney. he would die for her..
