Courtny Love had Kurt killed. Fucken bitch, someone should put a shotgun in her mouth and pull the trigger. There was a sloppy investigation, I personally think she paid the cops to keep quiet.It was just left that Kurt commited suicide. Which if I remember correctly, Kurt supposedly shot up before he "committed suicide." The amoung of heroin that was found in his system was so great, that he would have died almost instantly he couldn't have shot himself! Thats only one thing. Go to cobaincase.com for more.
As for this song, it rocks. I heard it on the radio and had this weird creepy feeling. Almost like Kurt was singing from the grave. I think he wrote this song to Courtny. How much he hated being married to her. |

If I recall, I was watching a behind the music or somthing like that on Nirvana, and one of the members (Dave Grohl I think) said that's when they knew that they were big, when Weird Al did a parody of their song. I guess that's one way to know if you made it big if Weird Al does a song about you. I think this song is funny as hell. |

complete_loner, you are close, but the whole song is about his heroin addiction. I was watching VH1 Behind The Music and Anthony said he wrote this song about how his heroin addiction made him feel alone and how it seemed everyone was different from him. I think you are right about the Chorus, how he loved being able to make music. I was pretty close, I always thought that a girl had left him and thats why he was alone. I think this song is about someone selling out to get rich, like giving up his old friends that weren't as succesfull as him then realizes what he's done. I think the first verse is one guy that sees his old friend, and starts talking to him. And the other guy doesn't regognize him at first, maybe he was a forgotten friend. I think the first chorus is about the first friend maybe was successfull and realized he had sold his friends out for money or fame. The second verse the other guy goes home and looks at his scrap book, remembering the old times. "I gazed a gazely stare at all the millions here" I think thats a reference to the money he made. I think both references to dying is maybe giving up your friends for success and the second chorus is the other guy realizes he sold his friends out. It kinda makes sense, this one is a hard one to figure out. |

freeefalln, I think you need to practice what you're preaching. What happened to attacking the issue and not the person. It sounded like you were attacking TheRyno731 for being a bad Christian. Hey no one is perfect. The relationship that he has with God, is between him and God. You have no right to judge him. As for him cussing, I don't recall anywhere in the Bible where it says "Tho shalt not cuss" Trust me I have looked it over, and it's not in there. Back to the issue. I Think everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I think that is a God given right, That is what makes this country so great. But people need to learn to agree on disagreeing. I disagree with your opinion on this whole situation, but I also respect it. If you love your country, they how could you not be so upset about this situation. America is not the best nation in the world. Damn, its far from it. But have you ever thought that if this was a communist country, you would have been killed for disagreeing with the government. It would be great to try and talk things out, and I'm not all for war. But the sad part is that it's the only way to deal with these people. They don't want to compromise. If we were to sit back, and do nothing, then more innocent American lives would be lost, just for being an American. They need to be stopped, and unfortionatly this is the only way that it can be done. Unless you have another way, I would love to hear it. |

This song does make sense about God watching over us. But there are two things that prove the songs is written about a light, The first being, My name is blue canary one-word spelled l-i-t-e" It spells it out there "LITE" Of course it's spelled wrong, but it flows which is probably why it's spelled that way. The other part, "There's a picture opposite me, of my primitive ancestry, which stood on rocky shores and, Kept the beaches shipwreck free" He is refering to a lighthouse. Well thats my opinion on the song. |

Uh... Forevergreen, I don't hear any similarities between LP and the Backstreet boys. Yes, LP hit it big time, and everyone and their brother is buying their records. Like Acetica said, they have mixed several different types of genres into one group. Electronica, Rock, Alternative ect...(A "Hybrid" of music) That is why it appeals to so many people. But one thing I don't understand is why everyone is calling them the Backstreet Boys of rock. There are a some major differences here. BSB was a manufactured group to appeal to the young demographic. LP was not manufactured, they had to work for their fame. BSB is a group that sings to a track. LP is a band. They perform their own music, not sing to a track. |

O yea, I highly doubt that this band sings about Jesus and God, just to get airplay and sell CD's. The last time I checked, Having morals wasn't so popular. When was the last DC Talk song was in the top 10? Or how about Third Day, those are christian groups, but have you ever heard them on a mainstream station? Have you even heard of them period? Probably not, cuz religion doesn't sell records. If they were singing for the single reason to sell CD's and get airtime, then they would be singing about sex, or what all of these other popular rock bands are singing about. OK, I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I don't think Creed is the best band to walk the planet. But in MY OPINION, they do make good music. And as for their music being shallow, how so? A song wishing for a better place, or a song how happy he is for having a kid. Just because he doesn't sing about screwing every girl, and doing drugs doesn't mean that their songs are shallow. Think about this song for a second, It actually is deep. Wanting everyone one to get a long, in a place where there are no diseases. That doesn't sound very shallow to me. What IS shallow, however, is attacking somebody for their religion, who cares. How does that affect you in anyway? It's not like they're walking around like holy rollers pressing what they believe on to everyone, and thinking there next to God. If you don't like Creed, then why are you here in the first place? You are entitiled to like what you want, but at least don't form an opinion about someone just because they are "christians". I consider myself religous, but I am pretty liberal, if you don't want to believe what I believe, thats fine with me, im not going to force my views on you. As for being hypocritical, expecting someone to accept that you have different views, then you have the audacity to get mad at them because they don't share your views. Thats pretty hypocritical if you ask me. |

I think what Kurt is saying there is I would bend over backwards for you, but you wouldn't or won't do the same for me. Oh and alexbravo needs to be violated with a hot screwdriver. Cobain is a lyrical genius, most of his songs he is speaking about a specific thing, but he never really says what the song is about. He is speaking metaphorically . |
