Damn! How diferent if you compare this line with the tipical romantic lyrics kinda "I'll love you for ever and I'll be always by your side" and that kind of crap... Simon is talking about a relationship in a realistic way. This girls feels insecure about them, try to hide to her friends that they're dating and stuff like that. So Simon says "Hey, relax. Let's just have fun and enjoy to be together and when it ends... it just ends". Love is not forever. Nothing is forever. And many times, when you think too much if your relationship is going nowhere or will end soon, you can't enjoy it.

Este tema tiene un muy buen ritmo.

And maybe it was a lie of the press, but if you do a little review of any biography of Mercury, you'll see that the guy wasn't a saint. He was gay, he used lot of diferent drugs and alcohol and made some parties like orgies (How do you think he gets AIDS?). After all he was a Rock Star. But the point is that I don't give a fuck if Freddie wrote his lyrics about drugs, gay love, religions, puppies, flowers or radios. I like his voice and the way he used to sing. The person and the artist are two diferent ones.

Korn made their own shit, they were the leaders so they can do anything they want. This song could be softer than the main Korn's songs, but it's really good. It shows a Pop side of the band (Jonathan doesn't even scream a word in the whole track) and I think that's positive. I started to listened Korn when I was 14. I was young and angry and depressed so Korn was the perfect soundtrack for that phase of my life. Now I'm 19 and all that anger fade away. I've grown up and Korn too. You can't be pissed off your whole life. Jonathan made those tortured lyrics on 1994. Ten years ago!!!!! Think about it. You can't think or feel the same after ten years. And realize that Jon have a pretty good life now. Korn is not the same? Of course they're not! None of us it's the same after ten years of living. It's evolution, baby! (Pearl Jam dixit)

I really don't understand what is exactly "to sell yourself out". EVERY musician had sell out or made comercial music because their records are made to be buyed. The artist can't eat air. And if they sell t-shirts, hats, dolls or toilet papers, well... ok. The important thing here is the music. I don't give a fuck if Korn wears adidas, Puma or Pony. I give a fuck about the music they do (wich is great).
If you like a song, of any group or kind, just listen it and forget about bullshit like how much copies the single sold.
Finally, why the people think they are the owners of the bands and their music? The bands make their own shit. Like Tool said, all we know about them is what they sold us, they sold out long before we ever even hear their names. |
