haha i love that people thought of the lost connection! thats immediately what i thought of. people on lost are always seeing dead loved ones from the past and living a sort of hell either on the island or off. |

Straylight Run – Hands in the Sky (Big Shot) Lyrics

i definitely think this is about the war. i believe the person the "big shot" is talking to is a POW. the big shot is trying to get him to talk. "big shot" could be a general or a soldier from the other side.
the first paragraph would be the current newspaper headlines.
everything else would be the point of view from a soldier. |

Britney Spears – Stronger Lyrics

i'd like to remind you all that the point of this website is to discuss possible meanings behind lyrics--NOT to bash the artist. if you have a problem with britney, take it up on your own lame ass blog or wherever you feel people actually care, and write about her there.
i'm so sick of going to different artists websites and finding people bashing them. WRITE ABOUT SONG MEANINGS, NOT HOW MUCH THEY SUCK. If you think they suck, stop looking at their lyrics and find a better place to bitch and moan. |

Taking Back Sunday – New American Classic Lyrics

personally, i don't understant why people come onto a band's lyrics page only to knock them and say they're terrible. i think TBS is original--at least they were before the whole screamo craze. even if they sound similar to other bands, i believe their lyrics have meaning. and as long as the lyrics mean something personal to the writer...then who really cares? as long as a band is passionate about THEIR music, i belive that band can make it.
anyway, i agree with people that it's about a crumbling relationship.
"When all that we need is just a reaction, it's too much to ask for when there's no attraction anymore."
saddest line in the song if you ask me. i just picture someone trying so hard to make their second impression and the other person is just over them. sigh. |

Danny Elfman – Jack's Lament Lyrics

I love this song, by far my favorite on the soundtrack. I feel that it's very easy to connect to Jack on this song--very good at something, so good that you're bored with it. He wants to try something new, but he's not sure what. I love his "lament"--really introduces the audience to the character. |

This song is powerful, especially for someone who's watching someone die. I <3 Brand New.
"Does anybody remember back when you were very young...
did you ever think that you would be this blessed?"
