Dimmu Borgir – Satan My Master (Bathory cover) Lyrics
| 19 years ago
|
Shadowwiththeeyes, your information is a little off. I'm referring to your "If they don't believe what you believe" theory. Those who worship Satan, by DEFINITION, NOT theory or opinion, do believe that in Christianity's teachings and that Jesus Christ is Lord and God; however, they are against God and do not worship Him. They worship Jesus's opposite, Satan, and they DO believe that they will spend an eternity in Hell. Since that worship Satan, they actually WISH to end up in Hell. I'm not even making fun of Satanism here; this IS their belief. |

Opeth – Blackwater Park Lyrics

I agree with you, Herorgy. I've witnessed so many intense arguments about exactly what type of music an artist or band is. Hey, if it's good music, who gives a shit about what type of music it is? Besides, I think Opeth too versatile to be slapped with any label, whether it be "progressive death metal" or otherwise. So what kind of band is Opeth?? They're an AWESOME band! That classification alone is good enough for me! |

" 'I like songs that make me want 2 dance.' Go and listen to some techno shit them. Mettalers mosh."
That's not necessarily true. You CAN dance to REAL metal...ya know, metal that has rythym (spelling?). |

Limp Bizkit – Behind Blue Eyes (The Who cover) Lyrics

Nothing beats the original, but I appreciate Limp Bizkit's version of the song too. I'm not as big on Limp Bizkit as I used to be, and I'd take The Who over them any time, but Fred doesn't have a bad voice. It's a shame that he wastes his talent on rapping so much. |

Zps2, I realize that you posted that comment quite a while ago, but I have to respond. You can say what you'd like about new Metallica (I could take them or leave them,) but don't EVER say that OLD Metallica sucks. Even if you don't personally like them, the music is no short of genius. A talentless band would NEVER have written such complex music or well-thought-out lyrics. |

Metallica – Wherever I May Roam Lyrics

Now THIS is music! I LOVE THIS SONG! Metallica...well, old Metallica...is beyond amazing! I love these lyrics. I'm sure that this song IS about the band touring on the road, but to me it is more about a nomadic lifestlye because, well, I can kinda relate to that on a personal level. :-) |

Dimmu Borgir – Satan My Master (Bathory cover) Lyrics

I know, Codey. Don't get me wrong! I'm a very open-minded person. Even if a feel that a person's belief system is false, I don't hate people because of their religion. I'm a former Catholic, now Baptist, but I have friends whom I love that are not. However, I do wonder about people who worship Satan. I mean, is there goal in life to burn in Hell after their bodies die? I usually hate to say universal things about an entire group of people, but people who worship Satan must either hate themselves or have a mental problem. Who in their right mind likes to feel pain and burn?! Think about it... |

Seraphim, I love you, man. :) Anyway, yeah, I guess this song is supposed to be evil and rebellious, but it's just disgusting. Besides, it's promoting rape and biggotry. Not cool... |

Eminem – Hailie's Song Lyrics
|
Are you people fuckin' CRAZY?! You think this degrading piece of, uh, "work" is beautiful? You think it shows Eminem's "mature" side?? Apparently you've all forgotten that Haley is just a kid. Do you think this child would be SO touched by all the vulgarity in this song? Additionally, Eminem goes off on tangents about his ex-wife more than once, hence going WAY off the topic of Haley. Oh, and "I'm so glad her mom didn't want her?" Yeah, those lyrics would make me feel GREAT! *Notice the thick sarcasm.* Besides, if anyone said such horrible things about my mother, I wouldn't want anything to do with them. That poor kid! Eminem should be arrested. |

I agree with you, Seraphim. Anyone who thinks Nile sucks doesn't know what talent is. Even if you don't like their music, you can't deny their talent! Nile is one of the most amazing bands that have ever existed. |

Lisa Marie Presley – To Whom It May Concern Lyrics
| 20 years ago

I love this song. Lisa is against the pchyciactric (spelling?) of children, and that's baically what this song is about. To me, it's about how pills seem to be the answer to every (non-physical) ache and pain now. Nowadays it seems that if you even utter the word "depressed" in the doctor's office, he/she's ready to shove pills down your throat. I was once on six different medications myself, but I now realize that it's all a bunch of nonsense!! |

Lisa wrote this song about her children. It's the most beautiful song on her "To Whom It May Concern" CD. You can tell just how she feels about her children not only because of the lyrics, but because of the gentle yet compelling music. |

Nine Inch Nails – Heresy Lyrics

OK, there's a lot of Christian-bashing here, but let me clear something up. Not ALL Christians are hypocritical and homophobic. In fact, TRUE Christians are NOT. The media, of course, projects the image of the typical Christian to be intolerant and a hypocite. It's flase "Christians" like these that give us TRUE Christians a bad name. We are NOT biggots. We are NOT stuck-up. We ARE accepting! And here's a SHOCKER for you: A BIG part of our religion is being NONJUDGEMENTAL! So why isn't this what the media portrays? Well, I don't know. I guess that the media figures that we REAL Christians are so interesting... |

Opeth – In My Time of Need Lyrics
|
Ahh, I'm so glad this site is up again. :) Anyway, here is what I got from this song. This may not be EXACTLY what the songwriter meant, but I can relate to the lyrics on a very personal level. The lyrics "Summer is miles and miles away, and no one would ask me to stay" are the ones that struck a chord with me. The person is depressed, but is doesn't really want to kill himself at first. He thinks, or hopes, that perhaps he may have a reason to live. Someone might miss him if he died. Someone may want him to still be around. However, to his dismay and disappointment, no one seemed to care. "No would ask me to stay." Sad, sad song, but I like it. It's georgous. I love Opeth! They're beautiful whether they're heavy or soft. :) |

Nine Inch Nails – That's What I Get Lyrics

This song is about feeling overwhelmingly sad because someone, the one you loved and trusted, has betrayed you. You blame yourself for your hurt feelings because looking back, you realize how naive you were. How could you have let someone hurt you so bad? "That's what I get." ::sniffle:: Yes, I can relate to this song. |

ATC – Without Your Love Lyrics

This seems like a very sad song. It's about someone that loves someone else so much, but the other person doesn't feel the same way. "I couldn't last another day, I'd fade way without your love." After these lyrics, the music makes a "fading" sound. The person's love was unrequited. Awww! :( |

Nine Inch Nails – Hurt Lyrics

All right everyone...here's my two cents. The lyrics "The needle tears a hole, the old familiar sting..." is probably not about drugs. Ask any therapist, and he/she will tell ya that the character is going through what is called "depersonalization." When someone becomes extremely depressed, he/she disassociates, or spaces out. They feel like nothing is real. "I focus on the pain, the only thing that's real." Rather that heroine, I think that part is about cutting. Cutting, the pain, may feel like the only tangible thing when someone is dissociative. (Am I spelling that correctly?) Anyway, please respond with your thoughts! :) By the way, I love Trent's voice!!!! |

Iced Earth – Ghost Of Freedom Lyrics

This song makes me cry. It's so powerful. No matter what exactly inspired it, it is about soldiers who died to keep us liberated. After living in a residential home for a year and a half, freedom is something I value greatly. This song means so much to me!
