Savage Garden – Violet Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Brillianto! |
Savage Garden – I Don't Know You Anymore Lyrics | 21 years ago |
It's hard learning that your ex has moved on while you're still suffering from your break up. |
Savage Garden – Gunning Down Romance Lyrics | 21 years ago |
wait a sec.... darren was married? never heard that before! Soz im a big fan of SG but i can never find any information on them in the UK! Anyways, bout this song......... i didn't like it first but then when i actually listened to the lyrics and the power of it, i absolutely loved it! |
Savage Garden – Chained To You Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i really like this song! I always like to listen to it just as i'm goin in to a day dream of me and a fit lad hahaha |
Savage Garden – Mine Lyrics | 21 years ago |
I no wot u mean. Speaking of B-sides - I've got a CD of all their B-sides and they are all so brilliant! Many artists just use remixes or useless rubbish for their B-sides, but SG always have pretty good ones, perhaps this is because good songs are the only ones they make! |
Savage Garden – Santa Monica Lyrics | 21 years ago |
this song is so beautiful! I love savage garden and i dont care what anyone says! They were a great band and Truely Madly Deeply was their best album - people just think that they've done boring slushy songs with a high pitched voice but of corse their wrong, surprisingly a lot of their songs are kinda rocky lol, and the best thing is all the songs are deep and meaningful, something that many modern bands lack! |
Savage Garden – All Around Me Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i luv this song hahahahahaha spesh darren's luvly impressions! |
Alien Ant Farm – Death Day Lyrics | 21 years ago |
has anyone read the poem porphyrias lover? we had to read it in english but i think this song is quite similar to it. In the poem the guy is seeing this girl behind her partners back. He knows this and so he invites her over and kills her, not because he is angry, but because he can then have that happy moment when they are together forever. that's what i see it as..... |
Catatonia – Post Script Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i like this and all the other songs! bit sad that hardly anyone is writing on any of the songs here! catatonia are excellent!!!!! |
Catatonia – Nothing Hurts Lyrics | 21 years ago |
sometimes i think that perhaps she is being a bit ironic, and that all around isnt so wonderfull, but she is trying to tell herself it is as living in a fantasy world is better than living in the sadness she's got |
Catatonia – Londinium Lyrics | 21 years ago |
aparently Cerys didnt want to release this coz she didnt like it at all, but i think it's a pretty good summary of the capital |
Catatonia – I Am The Mob Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i like this even tho no else seems to judgin by the comments on here......... |
Catatonia – Bulimic Beats Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i just love the lyrics to this! so beautiful, especially with the harp playin But dreaming is for moonrise And moonlight ails these tired eyes I treat him like a lady I treat him as I would he unto me Give Rose rose-seller a run for her money With silicone and poetry And it's the end of me Here in my kitchen where I'm familiar with every brand Here I am A frontline with labels where I witness custard's last stand Here I am beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ************** |
Ash – Kung Fu Lyrics | 21 years ago |
ive never heard tthe bit bout scooby do in it before - is it not on the intergallactic sonic 7s cd, or am i just deff? |
Ash – Kung Fu Lyrics | 21 years ago |

Busted – What I Go To School For Lyrics | 21 years ago |
in response to that teacher thing - it was matt aka the one with the bleached hair (previously a lopsided bleached 'fin'), or the fit one as i like to refere to him hahahahah lol. ne ways he did tell people who the teacher was, or at least he has now coz its written on their site, and i quote "her name was michelle, we was on first name terms and everything!" |
Alanis Morissette – You Oughta Know Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i just bort this album the uther day (i no, i no, im a little late, but i bort URS and SFIJ ages ago lol) and i'd forgotten how much i love this song, it's so powerfull!!! Is it just me or dus e1 else have this song rpeated on the album for number 13? it's not written in the track listings and i cant think y a bonus track would b the same track and version as earlier on in the album??? (p.s. i do know there's a hidden track at the end) |
Alanis Morissette – Right Through You Lyrics | 21 years ago |
(another point) the bit about the amunition on her back - her songs are her own way of 'getting back' at them |
Alanis Morissette – Right Through You Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i think its about a collection of men that she's met in the past and they are either summed up in the first verse (where they have been predjudice and turned her away instantly without giving her a chance) o in the second verse 'all they've wanted her from her is sex, and she's just a possesion to them). The chorus is saying how she has learnt to 'see right through' these men and walk away. The last verse i think is on about how a lot of her songs (inc. this one) were inspired by her relationships with these sorts of men, and that's why they "scan the credits for your name and wonder why it's not there" |
Alanis Morissette – That I Would Be Good Lyrics | 21 years ago |
ive always had two ideas of what this song means, one of them being what you've already talked about. i also get a sad side to this song, and i start thinking that its about a person who's in a relationship with someone who's not really bothered about them, and no matter what they do, whether they succeed or fail, their partner will only consider them as 'fine' or 'good', and they can never impress them.... |
Alanis Morissette – Not The Doctor Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i agree with m99 about it being about a guy who's cheating on his wife with her. She doesn't want to be his 'bit of fluff' (I don't want to be your glass of single malt whiskey Hidden in the bottom drawer ) She wants to be equal with him, not viewed as dependant on him like many people assume women are on men (I don't want to be your other half I believe that 1 and 1 make 2 ) she doesn't want to be responsible for him and go round picking up all the broken pieces of his life (I don't want to be to be your babysitter You're a very big boy now I don't want to be you mother I didn't carry you in my womb for nine months ) (I don't want to be the sweeper of the eggshells that you walk upon ) (I don't want to be the glue that holds your pieces together ) Not just that but she doesnt want to be thought of as greater than him (I don't want to be your idol See this pedestal is high and I'm afraid of heights) thats what i've interpreted as. can anyone tell me what she is on about in the chorus when she says "mind the empty bottles with the holes along the bottom" is this something to do with life/love draining away? or her being trapped (hence the bottle) but now trying to establish some freedom in the relationship (hence the empty part and the holes) or am i just compleetly wrong? lol |
Alanis Morissette – Ironic Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i dunno y but i've always thaught this song centred around her 'meeting the man of my dreams, and then meeting his beautiful wife', and while thinking of how ironic that was she came accross other ironic things in the world. dont reckon its right or anything but thats just the way i like to think of it |
Alanis Morissette – Head Over Feet Lyrics | 21 years ago |
whenever i listen to this song i always imagine it being like one of those hceesy movies where boy meets girl, girl instantly doesn't like him because boys so smooth slick and what she thinks sleezy. boys likes girl, and shows it, and in the end girl realises that the tension betwen them perhaps wasn't hate, but something more passionate. then they live happily everafter. if that makes any sense. |
Alanis Morissette – Forgiven Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i didnt think it was about sex in particular, just 'bad' things in general, although it does play a large part |
Busted – Crash and Burn Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i do like the actual music to this, lyrics rnt quite so good, but it is catchy i guess. p.s. ive just listened to their album - is n e one else getting sick of charlies voice? p.p.s. mattie is fit hahahaha lol im luvin the hair |
Busted – What I Go To School For Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Stop taking them so seriously lol. They rnt really my kinda thing but i like the way they are releasing songs about nothing in particular (e.g. year300) and getting hits with them. I don't reckon the band themselves r tryin to be punk or n e thin, even if the record companywants them to. I reckon theyre just doin what they're told, having a laff and making money. If i got to jump around on stage singing utter tripe in front of a lotta adoring fans and i got paid - id luv it! C'mon, ur only young once! p.s. n e one heard the song bout Britney Spears on the album - tis quite amusing and i dont even like her! |
Ash – Angel Interceptor Lyrics | 21 years ago |
beautiful! |
Alanis Morissette – Joining You Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i always imagined it being a male freind of hers - and most of my good freinds are female. i dunno wot made me think it but thats just the impression i get |
Ash – Walking Barefoot Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i like it as it's light and cheerful and happy with a sad bit - if that makes sense. when i here this i always thing of a homeless girl though, and how the summer it's fun to so free, and that everything is alright cause you are warm and the sun is shining on you and you don't need any money. but then the winter comes and it's cold etc. |
Ash – Uncle Pat Lyrics | 21 years ago |
hmm im not sure bout this song. I like it because it doesn't seem to have any meaning to it and it's just for fun, but that's also why i hate it - i can't get my head around it! |
Ash – Jesus Says Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i pretty suprised noone has written anything about this song before me coz it really is quite meaningful! Took me a while to work out what i think it means but now it makes sense. i think it's mena be jesus coming down from his place in the sky or wherever to visit us on earth and see how we are getting along. He then start thinking he's in the wrong place coz it's completely different from how he left it and doesnt understand whas going on. In the end he realises it is earth and ends up quite shocked and angry at what's going on in the world now ( i think the verse that starts where have i gone and landed tonight, god give me strength.... shows this quite powerfully) i like this as it really makes you think just what has happened to the world and the human race. Seems a bit deep for ash.... p.s. does anyone know what the something is that he cant do without? |
Ash – Jack Names The Planets Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i always thought it was a clip from a foreign pop show called planet nuvenna or something and the accented men are just having a laugh and making a pun. prob wrong but that's how i saw it |
Ash – Girl From Mars Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i heard this song ages ago wen i was only iccle and loved it even though i never knew who it was by. recently i found out that it was by ash and as i had liked a few of their other songs i bought intergallactic sonic 7's. I'm really glad i did now coz not only do i have my own copy of the best song in the world but i also discovered even more songs that i liked by them that i hadn't known was by them (if that makes any sense) and now im a big fan. This is still my fave! |
Ash – Candy Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i thinkk it could be perhaps about a girlfriend of his and although he cares a lot for her, he knows it can't work for some reason or other and that's why he's telling her 'it's alright to be alone'. and i think the line 'we'll never be apart' is that even though they are not going to be together, they had something special and will always have a special connection thiing between them. just a gues, although i do like hollys interpretation of it! |
Ash – Burn Baby Burn Lyrics | 21 years ago |
kleenex is right about the words: according to the book it is mena be tumbling like the leaves yeah we are spirraling on the breeze and also BLINDS that cant be untied (although i do think that we must fly on the autumn breeze would be a good lyric ;) ) |
Alanis Morissette – Your House Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i havn't heard this song but i really would love to! does anyone no where i can find a copy of this or listen to it online? i also wanna hear death of cinderella and can't find that, if anyne would like to tell me i would b v. grateful! |
Alanis Morissette – Your Congratulations Lyrics | 21 years ago |
this is probably my favourite song off SFIJ. it is v touching and powerfull and it reminds me of a lad i really liked. I wanted him to like me so much that i changed myself and my tastes. he saw right through me and wasnt interested, and i feel that if he had seen the right side of me things would have been a bit different. It certainly taught me that accepting yourself as you are is one of the most attractive things in a person |
Alanis Morissette – The Couch Lyrics | 21 years ago |
it took me a while to work out what i thaught it meant but now i think i'm slightly clearer, at fist i did think it was at least two people having talking, but now i think it is just one person, an old man, reflecting back on his life to his daughter and perhaps a brother. Whatever it means, i likie the way it shows how a person has lived with pain in his life and how it has shaped him and caused psycological dammage perhaps (going to see the shrink?). I also lik the way he just seems like a typical old grouch ('who are you younger generation to tell me that i have unresolved problems',it was much harder in those days), but then also how he has his soft side ('i was only trying to be the best big brother i could', 'she was only responsive with a drink he was only responsive by photo '). It makes me think more deeply about the grouchy old men i see now! |
Alanis Morissette – So Pure Lyrics | 21 years ago |
nicely put m99! |
Alanis Morissette – Keep The Radio On Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i haven't actually heard this song but i think i like it already. The chorus and the last verse in particular seem to relate to me. I like my songs to have a meaning to them , ratehr that just a boring love song that is written buy someone usually completely unrelated to the singer, and therefore tends to lack pasion and meaning. When i listen to alanis' songs though i feel what she is saying in this song, and it puts it well to my friends who arnt fans of her music and dont understand why i luv her so much! |
Alanis Morissette – Hands Clean Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i quite like this song- the lyrics are nicely written as usual and it has an uplifting feel to it, which i think she did deliberatley. i reckon she is talking about a relationship she had with an older man (as we have already established) and i feel she was at the time very much head over heels for him as this was her most serious relationshi so far. Although i feel the man cared for her, it was just another relationship of which he will have many more, and naturally the relationship came to an end. I think she was rather hurt at the time, but now has got over him, realised that it wasnt as serious as she thaght, and reflects on it as one of a few happy moments in her life, and regards it as a learning experience - hence the feel-goodness about it. any1 else feel the smae? |
Alanis Morissette – Death Of Cinderella Lyrics | 21 years ago |
