I just read that article on http://www.recroommagaxine.com and yeah, it's right. Sure, she's trying to be punk when she's obviously pop but who cares? The music is good and that's all that really counts. And it's probably true that she's put together because pop music is on it's way out and the record execs put her out there because punk is becoming popular. It happens all the time 'cause they want to have something there for the little "tweens" to listen to so their parents won't complain. It makes people happy so why complain? |

this is so pointless. it's obvious that the people who do pop don't write their songs and are only in it for the money. But do you really think any of their fans care? I listen to BSB to make me forget about anything wrong with the world... i listen to them because their songs have no meaning. If i want something deeper then I listen to some rock. And you guys keep saying that the BSB suck and that they have no talent and then you laugh when somebody stands up for the BSB. Well, wouldn't you do the same if I went onto the Korn msg board and started dissing them and their fans? Oh but wait, I have a life. |

ok, now i agree that this is really stupid. it's just a song. i just want to say to the people who are saying to go listen to some "good" music like simple plan and good charlotte that i listen to them. i like simple plan and good charlotte. but i also like bsb. to everyone on this msg board, whether you're pro-bsb or anti-bsb, why don't you just leave eachother alone? you don't like the same kind of music, so what? nobody's going to stop listening to bsb because somebody else said they're gay. and nobody's going to start listening to bsb because somebody else said they're cool and have good music. there's no point in dragging this on anymore. |

ok, punk isn't just jumping up and down and screaming into a mic. punk bands don't need a choreographer because they're cool and their songs speak for themselves. pretty much ever punk band writes all of their songs. and not to put down bsb 'cause i really do like them, but they don't write a lot of their songs. they've only written a few per album. and they did audition to get into bsb. lou pearlman wanted to put together a group like nkotb and aj, nick and howie auditioned to get in. then they found kevin once two of their members left and kevin brought brian. if you were as big of a bsb fan as you seem to be, you would know that kristen |

Everywhere I go I'm always seeing insults to the band or group that sings the song. Why not ignore who sings the lyrics and just enjoy the music? alright. I agree with skycamefalling00 to an extent. Sure ther are a lot of punk bands out there that are very talented and do deserve to be noticed but the point is is that they aren't being recognized. So don't get all mad because they aren't being noticed. A lot of the big punk bands started out like that. AND it's not only punk and hardcore bands out there that aren't being recognized for their talent. There are others out there too. As for BSB being 'cool' or 'uncool', does anybody really care if what they like is cool? Right now most of the people I know are cool because they're uncool. Just because somebody doesn't like your music or likes a type of music you don't like doesn't mean you have to keep coming here and insulting eachother. Isn't this site supposed to be about the meanings of the songs? Not whether or not the group who sings the songs are 'cool' or 'uncool'? |

Ok, I really don't care about Aaron Carter but I think I'm going to try to answer your question GodHatesACoward. Possibly the reason that nobody discusses the meaning of the song on here is because it's Aaron Carter. Aaron is only a 14 year that got into the music business because of Nick Carter. He doesn't write his songs and he doesn't play instruments either. The songs that are given to him to sing don't actually have a REAL meaning. It's pop. Pop songs don't have these big hidden meanings unlike other songs. And then you get the people coming in here insulting the song and Aaron Carter so the psycho fans have to defend him. Nobody really cares about the meaning of a song by Aaron Carter. Well, at least I don't. If somebody out there actually does care about the meaning of Aaron Carter's songs or any other pop act's songs, post a message and tell me. I wanna know. |

Actually, both titles are correct. The song was originally called 'Heaven In Your Eyes' and they changes the name to 'I Need You Tonight' when it was put on the Millenium CD. I don't know why, they just did. As for what I think of the song, the words are good, but I don't think Nick should sing all of it. |

I just have to say that the Backstreet Boys have been putting albums out since 1995. Since when was that 3 years ago? It's 2002, GeekRocker86, not 1998. Also, the group has been together and recording music since 1993. THAT was 9 years ago. They put out the Greatest Hits Album because they've been around for almost a decade. Oh, and another thing, why are you people here if you don't like the Backstreet Boys? I see three negative comments about them here and I just want to know why you people even come here if you don't like them? |

I agree with Atticus420. It was dedicated to Buddy Holly because he died. And the song was originally written for his father. Also, I think it was that the Big Bopper, Richie Valens and Buddy Holly were the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Also, the plane wasn't called Miss American Pie. What he means is that Miss American Pie is the US and the music is gone so the whole pie is going. He's saying good-bye to what makes the USA the USA. At least, that's what I think. |

Ok, I read all these comments and had to say something again. First of all, regarding the whold O-Town rip-off thing, BSB recorded this song a while ago BEFORE O-Town recorded All Or Nothing. Also, sure the BSB are slipping in sales and things but so what? This is where we separate the teenyboppers from the real fans.
