I believe that a lot of people mistake Across The Universe to be a Gorge Harrison song, simply because it fit his style of writting. Although it was a John Lennon song it has that George style. I defientely think that this song was one of the best work that the beatles did.
Another reason that people might think it is a George Harrison son is because around this type Harrison was very spiritual. |

This song was one of first and one that climbed the charts quickly. I do agree with others that belive that the beatles had better material in the later years. But we have to understand that in the beginning they were told what to sing and what not to sing, you know what was popular at that time.

This song is very deep. It is a love song obviously but it says much more than the common oh I love you songs. It gives a meaning to what love really is and means. In this song the beatles say yes there were beautiful things in the world like birds, music, and all of the other beautiful things that mother nature provides, but it wasn't until love hits that you realize these things and truely appreciate them. |
