Iron Maiden – Fear of the Dark Lyrics | 3 years ago |
I truly detest people who make fun of this song talking about ”fear of the duck” and so on! That’s NOT what he sings!!! Such a low thing to make fun of a man singing honestly and openly about his fear of places without lamps. Sure, it might be easy to say he’s a fully grown man and that he needs to grow some balls or atleast see a therapist about it, but I dare you to say that to his face... just try it!! Unless, of course, you happen to be in an unlit area when you say that to him. Please, don’t do that. |
Scatman John – Scatman Lyrics | 4 years ago |
Everybody treating this song like it’s all innocent and ”fun”... very few people know the true meaning. Look at the lines: Ba-da-ba-da-ba-be bop bop bodda bope Bop ba bodda bope Be bop ba bodda bope Bop ba bodda Ba-da-ba-da-ba-be bop ba bodda bope Bop ba bodda bope Be bop ba bodda bope Bop ba bodda bope Does that remind you of something? No? If I say Morse, does it ring a bell? Using standard Morse code, this supposed ”gibberish” turns into: Eat scat Devil Ready Yes Yummy scat Devil Ready Evil Not so innocent any more, is it? |
Haddaway – What Is Love? Lyrics | 4 years ago |
It’s clear that most people are reading too much into the lyrics, diving deep into the song’s many layers of complex metaphors. This is unnecessary, because the true meaning is there, in plain sight, for everyone to see. ”Baby, don’t hurt me, no more” Clearly, this is the moaning of a frustrated parent (Haddaway?) who can no longer stand the antics of their little one. ” I don't know why you're not fair, I give you my love, but you don't care” The grownup is expressing their dissatisfaction with the fact that they keep on giving, but the toddler isn’t really giving much back. ” I know we're one, just me and you. I can't go on..” Of course, the parent knows that the baby is his flesh and blood... but why can it not be nicer to him? ” I want no other, no other lover” The end of the song takes a much darker turn, where the singer gravitates towards highly forbidden thoughts. It surprises me that Haddaway would even insert such lyrics in a commercial song about a toddler, but nobody can say he is not a brave artist. |
