Iron & Wine – Song in Stone Lyrics 6 years ago
What a peculiar band.... I keep listening to more and more of Iron & Wine's songs, all the while thinking the one I'm listening to is a new favorite. Then, just as I think one can't ever be better than the last, Sam surprises me with a whole new level. At this point, I've got six of his albums and this song is one I always come back to. God, I love this tune... the lyrics, the melody, the gentle image of hope it elicits. I'll tell you a secret I haven't told anyone. This guy's music made me go buy an acoustic guitar last week! Crap... I'm 58, so I'm too old to learn to play like this. But I'm gonna try.

You say: "The phrase "tongue tied and twisted" may actually be the phrase "Turn, Time, and Twist It"

NO. The lyrics were published with the original CD. It was definitely "tongue tied and twisted. This refrain was written three times in the CD booklet. You could have looked this up fairly easily.

@[brembo13:20809] You lost me with "In 1969, a new music group put out their first CD..." since CD technology wasn't available to consumers until around 1984. So... I didn't bother reading the rest.
