Mercy Me – Finally Home Lyrics 7 years ago
I think it is pretty easy to interpret. Obviously he is talking about physically and spiritually "make[ing] it home." physically as soldiers coming home from deployment as depicted on the music video, and spiritually to heaven.

Tears for Fears – Shout Lyrics 7 years ago
This song reminds me of my brother who is in prison. Not the chorus parts.
-'In violent times' stanza makes me think of how some people may sell their own life for fame and fortune. And how the law is black and white. And is not meant for any interpretations. How sometimes, no matter how many 'one track minds' (honest workers) you meet, a lot of convicts kiss them goodbye because they are stuck in their old ways.
--Next non chorus stanza makes me think of an inmate's parents when they are incarcerated. Sometimes, inmates begin to antagonize their parents. Cold as ice.
--- Next non chorus stanza makes me think that an inmates parents believe them when they come out and say they've changed but that ends up not being true.
This is obviously my lone personal stance on the song's lyrics. Not THE interpretation. I like to think of the lyrics this way simply because it reminds me of my idiot brother.

@[MrMojoRisin5552:18448] THANK YOU! When people see religion tgey always incorrectly infer he means believing in god. Obviously he means organized religion. I just dont understand how people could so easily miss that.

David Gray – Babylon Lyrics 7 years ago
@[mitchbleh:18447] Omg. A lot of atheistic bands and artists always refer to the Bible or religion in general. Lol. Its just a commonly used theme that always seems to attract a greater audience. Audioslave-Like a stone. He refers to the bible as a book full of death. The band Creed also refers to religious beliefs an abundance of times but insist they are not a religious band. That they simply enjoy the positive or strong moral messages religions seem to give. Just saying.

Cage the Elephant – Cigarette Daydreams Lyrics 7 years ago
Love this song ever since i heard it about 2 years ago now. Based on the music video though, I kind of felt it was about a man's significant other dying, and he commits suicide just so he could be with her in the afterlife. So i guess if you could translate this meaning to the lyrics. Lol.

Two Door Cinema Club – I Can Talk Lyrics 7 years ago
I like to think its about people spreading rumors about one another. Someone is about to gossip with the narrator but all he sees is loose lips and arrogance. And he knows its inappropriate. And people bwginning to gossip telling each other talk they can talk. But the narrator is telling others no one gets off. Subconsciously gossiping.
