Radiohead – There There. (The Boney King of Nowhere.) Lyrics 7 years ago
I think this song is about life itself and the path we take in the course of our lives.

In pitch dark / I go walking in your landscape
(= We go through our lives without knowing what will happen next)
Broken branches /Trip me as I speak
(= There are always obstacles in life)

Just 'cause you feel it / Doesn't mean it's there
(= Just because it seems our path in life is determined it doesn't mean there really is such a thing - maybe everything is coincidental and we must find a way through our lives ourselves)

There's always a siren /Singing you to shipwreck
(= There are temptations in our lives that are trying to ruin us)
Don't reach out, don't reach out
(= We must try not to yield to them)
Steer away from these rocks /We'd be a walking disaster
(= And there are also things that can destroy us completely and make our lives disastrous, for example an addiction - again we mustn't "reach out" to them)

Someone on your shoulder/ Someone on your shoulder
(= There are people in our lives, who can let us down or betray us)

Why so green and lonely?
(= Why are most people's lives so lonely, no idea about the "green" part though, maybe green as a colour of depression)

Heaven sent you to me
(= This is obviously about life since God supposedly came from Heaven and created life on our planet)

We are accidents waiting /Waiting to happen
(= There are so many things in life that can go really wrong and drive us to the breaking point, which can even lead us to suicide - "an accident", so if we lead our lives it's only a matter of time, either we reach that point or die from other causes first)

The White Stripes – Seven Nation Army Lyrics 7 years ago
The way I see it, the song is about a guy who is being bullied over a secret, most likely something embarrassing from his past.

At first he feels angry and that gives him an illusion of invincibility - he thinks that he's going to be able to fight his bullies off despite being outnumbered ("A seven nation army couldn't hold me back"). But he soon realises he can't fight them and becomes increasingly troubled by their actions, which even keep him waking up at night and talking to himself. That's why he's trying to convince himself to stop worrying about it ("And the message comin' from my eyes says, "Leave it alone.").

But it doesn't work and he becomes more and more frustrated by the whole affair as it seems that everyone knows about it and gossips. He tries to reverse the crowd's attention to somebody else's secrets, most likely to those of the bullies to take revenge on them. That doesn't seem to work either so he feels he needs to find a place where he can be safe from the bullies, potentially in another town. This is what I think is meant in the line "find a home", not an actual home but a refuge from his problems (And the feeling coming from my bones says, "Find a home.")

So he starts planning his getaway to another town (Wichita is a city in Kansas and Jack's hometown is Detroit, Michigan), where he could distance himself from his problems. He intends to start working really hard and that would enable him to stop thinking about his past any longer ("All the words are gonna bleed from me/ And I will think no more).

But by the time he's thinking about leaving the harassment has intensified and his bullies beat him up. That's when he knows the time has really come to leave and he's probably never coming back again ("And the stains comin' from my blood tell me, "Go back home.").

McAlmont & Butler – Yes Lyrics 8 years ago
This is what I think about the meaning of this song.
It's about a couple who has recently broke up. The narrator was badly hurt because his girlfriend dumped him, he even believes she will never be able to help anyone in a relationship after hurting him the way she did. He wonders wheter she asks herself if he is feeling better now, maybe she even regrets her decision to dump him, she might have realised that she did it for no apparent reason and she wants him back.
He answers her concerns by saying he does feel better and though he might not be completely over her, he feels well enough to tell her he doesn't need her anymore. He had a hard time after the breakup, but now he feels alright with the situation and therefore won't let her to come back to him and hurt him once again. This is confirmed towards the end of the song where he tells her "stay away I'm better".
I think this is a great song and an underrated one, too. It's a little bit sad, but it portrays a real-life experience of getting over someone and not letting them crawl back because you need to move forward.
