I hate to see people who doesn't understand the meaning of the songs (and this one is pretty easy to understand) First, the narrator is definitely not Dalila but one of the servants. The song mix two different stories: the love story between Samson and Dallila's servant - about how Delilah discovered and made the servant cut Samson's hair, punishing them and placing them between columns where they died, and a story which Samson is a man with cancer, dying on his bed. "And history books forgot about us And the Bible didn't mention us, not even once" Sad song, easy interpretation. It's not my Regina's favourite but i love the lyrics. |
