Marmalade – Reflections Of My Life Lyrics 9 years ago
"take me back to my own home" the lyricist tells of his disappointment with finding home in the world and longs for a perfect place that he feels was once there in a beginning he may only remember fragments from that are vivid and more intense than anything encountered in his life. He is musing about this perfect place of love and home and how it doesn't seem attainable in the current world surrounding him today.

It's about longing for deep inner fullfillment and to be found in a world that doesn't understand the need to be loved and find yourself home in someone. Thus home becomes something in the most primordial beginning, maybe metaphysical even in the mind of the singer. It's most definitely about love.

Simon and Garfunkel – For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her Lyrics 9 years ago
It's about finding the woman you've always thought about and then one day you see her and think; "where have you been all this time?" It's about a love predestined to meet and find each other, it's about a love that knows no time or place, it's a place but a place deep down inside yourself. When it hits you it will always be there, it's the most potent and truest of all love. It only happens once in a lifetime and I think there is no more perfect name for this girl you were looking for all your life without even consciously knowing you were looking for her but then it happens, one in a billion and it hit you, paralyzes and you are complete. I imagine autumn and high wavy grass with endless fields devoid from human influence, pure nature and an innocent place where only the sun reigns and there that love is met like awakening from a daydream thinking about when you will find eachother yet you already have, she just came to wake you up and that is true love. Daydreaming and reminiscing about the one girl that will always be the one girl you love. And she is real, and she wakes you up and then you remember; these dreams I've had for so long about her were real too. It's about the girl you were destined to be with. It's finally finding her and the whole world disappears, just like I imagine the world disappearing around the writer of the song when he wrote it.

Many people will not understand this nor experience it, but it takes heart and soul and being passionate in love, living for it to come to understand what it means.

Those without passion and inability to love with an open heart will not experience this song from the place where it was written from.

Bonnie Tyler – Total Eclipse of the Heart Lyrics 9 years ago
This song is is about a passionate woman who is afraid of real love and
found a new truth she did not expect to find, so she's fighting her own heart because
she feels vulnerable.

This woman is learning to open her heart through a deeper understanding of love, though it feels so vulnerable for her since she used to hide that heart which is a big heart but hidden.

"And if you only hold me tight
We'll be holding on forever
And we'll only be making it right
'Cause we'll never be wrong together"

She speaks of her love wanting to be held in her own vulnerability
of learning to open her heart for this love greater than life, which releases her
but frightens her a bit because nothing ever made her feel so vulnerable before.

The holding on forever means she wants to be held forever by her love because
she never felt such incredible force going through her; the power of love beyond love.

"We can take it to the end of the line
Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time (all of the time)"

The eclipse of the heart is a momentum in their love which is what the entire
song comes down to; a powerful moment in a love like no other she wants to hold onto forever as said in further lyrics.

"I don't know what to do and I'm always in the dark
We're living in a powder keg and giving off sparks"

They're involved in a passionate, wonderous love that is mad in it's roots since
it's so romantic it gives sparks and they're learning about themselves through it and the meaning of life, which can be turbulent but passionate and TRUE!!

"I really need you tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight"

That momentum, the eclipse of the heart, it describes the holding onto it by two lovers and making it eternal.. since the eclipse is a peak, an exalted event in this love, which is the beauty of real love since it's tragic, sad but potent and passion that is everything that takes it to a higher plane where it shines as the brightest star; this cosmic heart that brings two into one love.

"Turn around bright eyes"

Her love appearing to her at just the moment she was waiting for.

Meat Loaf – I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That) Lyrics 9 years ago
These lyrics is about always being true to one woman in love but I have a more specific interpretation to it;

This song is complete romanticism in it's message and is about someone misunderstood who is living at the center of love in his understanding of it. As seen in the music video he lost his humanity at some time in history, but that is not the real him as seen in the ending where the woman he's been waiting for finds him in his castle of love, which represents the heart of love. When she finds him and they are one his true self is revealed and his humanity completed.

"I know the territory, I've been around
It'll all turn to dust and we'll all fall down"

This is her speaking of how she knew society before finding the heart of love with him, how she saw something that was not real love but lived by since that's how it felt right to her at the time. It will all turn to dust and we'll all fall down, indicates her enlightenment in love and how she wants to be true now that she's come to realize she was living a lie earlier and fake love was her way of loving.

Then- both enlightened - they leave the heart of love on the chopper since they both are redeemed through their understanding of real love at it's center as he understood it and was waiting for her to come into that enlightenment.

They drive toward the horizon and are reborn.

The cops infiltrating the heart of love represent external influences such as culture, society, television, the external world that tries to corrupt and undermine real love. Media, governmental influence, pop culture; they don't understand it since these are cold sterile structures that try to keep people from knowing real love so they try to take it out but real love conquers all and so the two enlightened lovers escape in time going to some new place to build their own heart of love again which now lives inside them both. They are one at the end.

So romantic. And real.
