Stereophonics – Handbags And Gladrags Lyrics 10 years ago
The lyrics speak for themselves, this song is what it says on the tin. My understanding is the song is about aging and generations, from young to old and then the next generation and so on. How your elders see you, and think back to how different it was when they were your age. Then, how we grow up to be more like them, and we see our children have our mannerisms we once had. How when we're teenagers our grandparents get all confused when we show them the latest gadget, that will one day be us. Funny and true meaning really. When we tell our mother we were late for school, she gets annoyed and lets be honest, huff - puffs and shouts. This song tells us how that will be us one day, and how we grow into our parents and our children grow into us. How as we age, we want new things, and at the same time, our intelligence grows. We understand why our elders said things that we used to just ignore as background noise.

That's my view, thanks for taking time to read.

Stereophonics – We Share the Same Sun Lyrics 10 years ago
My understanding of the song is... Kelly (the singer) is obviously talking about a girl, and how she makes him feel amazing when she is near him. By the sounds of it, he likes her but they're not together, which means they don't have anything together; no possessions or common interests or lifestyles. So what's the one thing they share? The Sun! I guess this comforts him (the character Kelly is playing in the song), to think they at least share one thing. That's my understanding of the lyrics, cheers for reading.

Stereophonics – No-One's Perfect Lyrics 10 years ago
Wow first comment on here, though this song would have tons of traffic! Anyway...

My opinion, the meaning is in the title, 'no-one's perfect'. The truth be told, no one is perfect, we all have positives and negatives about ourselves. I think the message Kelly is trying to get across is a lot more deeper. Sometimes people live day to day alone, with no partner and they blame themselves. They usually blame their looks or visibly noticeable things like weight. We shouldn't because out there, somewhere, their is someone just like you, who understands what you go through, being alone. All's it takes is to get out there and try your best to find someone, no matter how many times you've been hurt, just get back up and show the others that they have not effected you! It's gonna be hard because as Kelly says 'all roads lead back to me' which means we normally cannot take our minds of this one person, but we'll soon see that 'nothing lasts forever' and who you thought was perfect was not... No-one's perfect, what a melody.

Creedence Clearwater Revival – Who'll Stop the Rain? Lyrics 10 years ago
John obviously wrote this song in the first person narrative, as an American soldier in Vietnam. Yes this song is surly about Vietnam not dispute, many say 'rain' is to do with the pollutants and toxins used in the air which killed thousands of people, American and Vietnamese. I argue that point and believe 'rain' in-fact means 'bullets' or actual rain (harsh wether). Let me explain, American troops, young guys who had just finished collage, went to Vietnam to fight, unaware of the smarts the Vietnamese had, their advantages, mainly surprise. One minute you're marching and the next, under hail fire from Vietnams troops! 'How I wonder, still I wonder' & 'who'll stop the rain' I believe means, where and when is the next attack coming from and who will survive it when its over but better still who will stop it? Or an obvious meaning, which many people over look, is the harsh rain and storms the soldiers put up with. Vietnam's weather was and still is unpredictable, could be sunny one moment and a thunder storm the next. I hope many see my point of view, thank you for reading.

Creedence Clearwater Revival – Fortunate Son Lyrics 10 years ago
My view, and I think many will agree, the rich had a choice to send their children to war, the poor and middle class did not. 'Some folks are born, made to wave the flag', meaning once a child was born of a poor family, that was it, you were bound to go to war, no dispute. 'Some folks are born, silver spoon in hand', meaning the rich, born with a bit of money in your back pocket and you were safe from the horrors of war. All comes down to how awful the government were and still are. Thanks for reading.

In my view, its a short and simple meaning, if you love each other, their should be no suspicion, just love. Thank you for reading.

The Killers – Mr. Brightside Lyrics 10 years ago
I believe, the meaning behind this song is, a guy has a girlfriend, he loves her, but all she wants from him is sex, not for love but for her own pleasure. The guy doesn't want to lose her, so he tries a relationship built on sexual activity, but it fails. He cannot keep up with it at all, he tries but he can't, because he can't do it, she gets annoyed and decides to openly admit she is going to have sex with another man. This kills him inside, he loves her deeply and when she doesn't love him back, it kills him, it kills him more to see she has left him. This makes him sick to think he could not keep up with her ('my stomach is sick'), and he blames himself ('but its just the price I pay'). He has visions that she and this other guy are getting it on, and it hurts him ('I just can't look its killing'), he knows what she is like in bed and it kills him to think she is doing it with another guy.

In summery, this is about when we as humans find true love, and it turns its back on us. It can have an awful affect on us, as if we were dying from a painful illness. This is my understanding of the song, thank you for reading.
