Priscilla Ahn – Fine on the Outside Lyrics 2 years ago
Wow! What a song! I heard it in the movie "When Marnie Was There". The simply are super easy to understand (many songs are rather abstract than easy to interpret). To me this is a very touching song. The topic is perfect. Many people are pretending to be fine on the outside, but behind their smile or pleasant appearance, they are hiding secrets or pain or sadness. It\'s a very sad but also very honest song.

Nelly Furtado – One Trick Pony Lyrics 2 years ago
@[barely:37654].conscious

Truely ironic. From song lyrics at least I have discovered that artists do what they have to do and feel what they feel at that specific moment. Nobody knows the future. I wouldn't believe anybody claiming he will never sell out or go pop. If you're doing a decent living with your not so mainstream music, okay. But as soon as your career starts to go nowhere, decisions have to be made or

Especially Hip Hop artists who brag a lot are guilty of this kind of irony. If you come from any underground into the mainstream, you can easily claim you're better or more authentic than the other acts. It's actually an integral part of the hip hop game to brag that you're the best, the others are bad and how cool and authentic your shit is. Even famous poets changed direction when they got older or were successful. I've seen tough rappers (it's debatable if they're really that way) going pop. I've seen Nelly get a feature on an *NSYNC song. I've seen Tiesto going from #1 Trance DJ to commercial EDM house music.

I recently heard about how Radiohead's Thom Yorke saying (in the 90s) he doesn't like plastic Britney. I believe no artist can be authentic. Everything is image and everything that a band or a musician is doing is a conscious decision. At least that would be the sane way to do things. Just randomly doing anything and saying whatever you think or what you really think would be stupid. Cos you have to sell. And you have to reinvent yourself after few years or 2 albums. I think part of the blame is on the naive fans. They simply believe what they're told. They put their favourite artists on a pedestal. And we cannot see where the artist ends, the real person starts and how much influence the label or other factors have.

Pet Shop Boys – To Face The Truth Lyrics 5 years ago
A beautiful, soft, melancholic Pet Shop Boys synth pop song. Not a big fan of them, but this one is really nice.

"It hurts too much to face the truth". The Bible says "the Truth shall set you free". Jesus, God himself, said about himself: "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me". Yes, facing the Truth will hurt at first, because we are sinful humans through and through and have to change a lot, but the reward will be the life God wants us to lead. Because his will for us is good. But he has to change us first. Turn away from the lost and unjust world, turn to Jesus, face the truth, repent from your sins and your old life and you will receive a new spirit, a new life, forgiveness and Eternal Life.

Avicii – Waiting for Love Lyrics 6 years ago
We humans are all searching for love. Even a famous and wealthy DJ like Avicii was looking for love. But in the wrong places. "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" (Mark 8:36). It seems like he had it all. But he couldn't buy love. He had alcohol problems. These were the results of the excessive touring, the jet lags, the foreign countries where he was on his own, without friends and family for month. Also producing music often alone (DJs do more on their own than a band) in front of the screen for hours. If you are producing EDM for the party crowd to have a great time dancing, drinking and drugging, if you are constantly surrounded by these temptations, the risk of getting involved in drinking to numb the pain and to distract the mind is huge.

He fell for it, for whatever reason it was, like many other DJs do. It's hard to put on a happy face for the crowds when you are not feeling it. You get celebrated because of your music and you have to be there for your fans and media all the time. They care about you, not much about your personality. The DJ Culture is unhealthy. It has nothing to to with the normal 9-5 working culture most people live in. It may be okay to celebrate moderately from time to time, but every week is too much of too little. Avicii was looking for love, but he didn't find it in worldy fame.

The line that clearly stands out to me is "Guess I won't be coming to church on Sunday" Though I obviously can only guess what he is implying, my interpretation is, that a) Avicii obviously won't attend a church service when he is out deejaying on Saturday night. Also he subtly claims that love isn't found in church. Technically it isn't, it's found in Jesus Christ, who was crucyfied to reconcile humans with the living God of the bible, to forgive their sins and to give them eternal life. But we are speaking from a worldy view point and that's why I say that this line is a clear attack on the church and God. It may be subtle, but when a famous DJ lets a singer sing a particular line, his fans and listeners mostly agree with him and their often godless world view is confirmed. It's dangerous and it's very very tragic and sad.

Tony Christie – I Did What I Did for Maria Lyrics 6 years ago
"but I go to my Lord without fear" . A human can always justify a horrible thing he has done. And while I understand how Tony Christie's character in the song commits a crime of revenge, it is without question the wrong thing to do! You won't make your wife alive by killing another person. It's not "an eye for an eye" anymore. Now it's "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself", as Jesus says in Matthew 22.36-40, is the right way to handle things. I do not like that song. Even though it was written from another person's view point, the fun dancable music make it seem like harmless fun.

Meghan Trainor – Dear Future Husband Lyrics 8 years ago
@[seeing:7063] True. But see here is my big problem: The line goes "After every fight, just apologize". End of discussion. 100% him apologizing for let's be generous and say 30% of the fights are his fault. Then he would apologize for 70 % of the fights she started and apologize for things she did wrong. But that goes perfectly along with the line "even when I'm acting crazy - tell me everything's alright" - so she wants her husband to keep up a perfect world where she is always right no matter what. There is more in these lyrics than one can understand when not listening carefully.

R.E.M. – Man On The Moon Lyrics 8 years ago
@[soulfreedom:5570] I don't believe that they ever landed on the moon. It was more or less a test to see with what the elite can get away through the illusion of moving pictures. And they have perfected this method in the 50 years after the moon landing hoax. Some say, the ISS isn't even in space. I'm not sure if it is even possible to leave earth's atmosphere? Could be that it is not possible at all but that's just something I picked up somewhere during my endless research. Anyway, I guess that "if you believe they put a man on the moon...then nothing is cool" combined (though not directly sung after each other) could hint to the listener to not believe everything they see in front of their eyes. To question things because the people in charge are lying.

Elvis Presley – Trouble Lyrics 8 years ago
Wow. These lyrics take no prisoners. They go straight to the point. They tell the truth about what Elvis (Evils) purpose was (something that is done regularly, truth hidden in plain sight). Like in the trailer of the upcoming movie "Straight out of Compton"). Elvis was a devil in disguise. And there is a song where Elvis sings about "the devil in disguise". But he himself was a satanic tool for the elite to corrupt the young people, to plant unbiblical ideas into their impressionable minds in order to lead them away from God. It worked.

First there was resistance but that didn't stop the young and rebelling kids and we know that compared to what is possible in 2015, Elvis appears almost clean and innocent, like a country singer, one even wonders: What is the problem with Elvis? I think he didn't care what the consequences of his godless music was (like most mainstream artists don't take any responsibility for their lyrics about violence, sex, drugs, hate and so on), he sold his soul for money, fame, women and all the worldly goods. He didn't get a happy ending, he died a horrible death. But still Elvis is mostly known as the famous super talented singer, the media usually don't talk about the dark side of Elvis and that the persona and style of Elvis was carefully created by powerful and well educated people. Even an "in your face" song like "Evil" wouldn't change a fan's opinion, because Elvis is just playing, he's just pretending to be a bad boy, he's fighting the system, he takes no orders from noone, it's sarcasm. Whatever excuse is good enough. Same goes for today's superstars like e.g. Eminem or Marilyn Manson. They are just joking, they are misunderstood, they are fighting the system from within. It's only entertainment.

Elvis Presley – (You're The) Devil In Disguise Lyrics 8 years ago
Elvis was both a devil in disguise himself, because his mission was to corrupt and destroy the morals of the young people (the parents and older people mostly were disgusted by the provocation of Elvis. But that didn't stop them, they broke this resistance and the next generation could even be exposed to much more twisted things and so on.). And he signed a deal with the devil in disguise, maybe not even knowing that he was selling his soul.

But Elvis was a tool anyway, an artificial creation like the Beatles, send to the masses to corrupt their thinking, to plant ideas of sexual immorality and party and worldlyness into their minds, plus he was a false idol that was and still is worshipped by many people. Though he wasn't a good person at all and he died poor and in misery after heavy drug use, though one should think he should have been a happy man, because he could afford everything that many people dream of. I always find it fascinating (but also scary) how obvious and in your face song lyrics get if you read them from a Christian and biblical standpoint. If you don't believe in God, you can always say "this isn't real, it's a metaphor, he's just kidding, it's sarcasm".

Die Toten Hosen – Paradies Lyrics 8 years ago
First Campino, singer of Die Toten Hosen, attacks God in "Die 10 Gebote" and claims, Jesus died in vain, now he doesn't even want to to paradise aka heaven. Is what the world offers so much better? Is violence, sex, drugs and materialsm better than loving your neighbour, not stealing, cheating, killing? The biggest problem is: I wouldn't care if this was Campino's or the band's personal opinion. But when he sings it to a huge audience, who belives and follows his words without making up their own mind, it gets dangerous. It's so sad.

Eminem – Who Knew Lyrics 8 years ago
Aha aha. I get it. Basically what e.g. Eminem is doing is saying that his music isn't responsible for violence, taking drugs and stupid behaviour. Eminem is not entirely to blame. He is just part of the system and the problem. He is blaming other artists doing the same thing as he does, he is blaming violent movies and of course in the end, it's the parents fault not his because they allowed their kid to listen to his music. It's so easy. So basically, Eminem or whoever artist is opening his mouth, can get away with whatever disgusting and evil lyrics or scenes on screen without having to fear any consequences, because it's always someone else's fault and freedom of speech and it's only entertainment, he's not serious.

And of course he like most people in the entertainment industry protected by the millionaires and their million dollar companies of billion dollar industries standing behind him, not only pulling the strings, but controlling him, allowing him to say what he says and also forcing him to sing about controversal and sick topics. What is the cause for all this sex, materialism, violence, drugs, hate and so on in this world? Morals, ethics, good behaviour, loving your neighbour and being a decent person? Or is it the perverted media, who promot all the things in their works that the average person wouldn't want to have in their lifes at no cost? Violence doesn't come from peace. Hate doesn't come from love. In Matthew 7:17 is written: "Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit."

But we rather believe the lie that it is only entertainment and parents are responsible and these gigantic billion dollar companies can sell almost whatever they want on the market and when something goes wrong it is our fault and the parents are to blame and the bad childhood, the bad neighbourhood and the lack of education. They want us to believe that, but kids see entertainers as role models and even if only one single person copies bad behaviour from any media and does damage to himself or others, it is one incident too much. Or should we say: Ah, it's alright, it only happened once or twice, so we shouldn't be concerned?

The Cure – Friday I'm in Love Lyrics 8 years ago
Why I'm here is because I stumbled upon an interesting comment about the songtitle. This song is obviously called "Friday I'm in love." When I now go to wikipedia, it says "The name Friday comes from the Old English Frīġedæġ, meaning the "day of Frige", a result of an old convention associating the Old English goddess Frigg with the Roman goddess Venus, with whom the day is associated in many different cultures. The same holds for Frīatag in Old High German, Freitag in Modern German and vrijdag in Dutch." And who is Venus? "Venus (/ˈviːnəs/, Classical Latin: /ˈwɛnʊs/) is the Roman goddess whose functions encompassed love, beauty, sex, fertility, prosperity and desire."

So my simple interpreation would be, that Robert Smith is singing about being in love with Friday or Frigg/Freya aka Venus. "The word Lucifer is taken from the Latin Vulgate, which translates הֵילֵל as lucifer, meaning "the morning star, the planet Venus"." So I now can imagine that this is a lovesong to Lucifer. Which only makes sense if you believe in evil Satanists, often called Illuminati, are pulling the strings from behind the scenes. It's just a guess but you have to be careful. The evil people move in subtle ways, disguising lyrics with subliminal messages, double meanings and metaphors.

Little Mix – Black Magic Lyrics 8 years ago
Now it's even okay for young women to sing about Black Magic in a fun innocent looking way. But it's not true. It's the opposite. Black magic is real and dangerous. By practicing it, the person invites demons into their lives. But since we only believe the things we are tought by parents, teachers, friends (who got their knowledge from the same people as well most of the time) and the media and stars (who are just puppets and often have no clue what they are promoting), we completely ignore things we have no idea of.

We stay ignorant to strange topics like Black Magic, because nobody ever talks about them. Yeah, they appear in some movies or tv shows, but it's not real, it's just deranged people doing weird stuff. But wizards, warlocks, witches, druids, magicians, mages, sorcerors really existed in the early days and they still do today. They are promoted in video games and board games all the time but nobody wants to admit that they are really existing. And if you don't believe that God and the devil exist, you basically don't believe that media can be harmful and wrong, so the people in control get away with almost anything (they push the boundaries year after year), you just watch it and don't get the harm it does to your soul and your morals. Bands like Little Mix are planting ideas into their impressionable young audience. Probably only a few, but a few too many (same goes for anything negative media related - one related victim is one too many) will check out what Black Magic is in reality and even go down a hellish path they should have stayed away from.

Little Mix – Salute Lyrics 8 years ago
So 4 young women dress up slutty and they claim to "we're looking for recruits" and "Representing all the women, salute, salute"? Really really sad. No morals exist anymore. "And we'll hit you with the truth" - what truth? You didn't even write the song yourself in the first place. Plus the video wasn't your idea. The trashy outfits also not, but sex sells and you are willing to do all to get rich and famous. Another example of how the people finanzing pushing their godless evil morals and agendas through innocent looking music. Again and again. And almost nobody questions the content of the media we get exposed to daily.

But back to the song lyrics: So these 4 popstar marionettes are singing " You think we're just pretty things. You couldn't be more wrong". But it's the truth! As I mentioned above, they didn't have anything to do with the song creating and video making process, except for lending their voices, there pretty faces and bodies. And I bet naive fans see that song as an empowering anthem for all the women in the world.

Question everything, don't follow rich people channeling their ideas through pretty one tricky ponies. Think for yourself, do your own research or you will get lost for sure!

Nine Inch Nails – Copy of A Lyrics 8 years ago
@[JDL:5355] Hi. I'm with you there. We get heavy influence of our environment. What we do in our freetime and what things are allowed in public or which things are forbidden. It depends on where you were born. Since the entire world is man made, we are controlled or steered by the people who created and are creating our environment. And when things that were taboo or forbidden many years ago become normal or accepted, we accept them because we accept the world around us as the truth and real reality.

But to go back to your quote. To say that we are just products of, to me means, that this person takes the blame off of him and says: I can do whatever I want because I come from an abusive home. No matter what I do, it's not my fault, because... No, it's not the kid's fault to take a gun and shoot people. He had a tough childhood and so on. So please, don't judge him for what he did. He was just a product of his environment. But since we have a free will and can make free choices, we can decide to do something or to not do it. Media preaches certain things and morals and some or many people follow what they see and react to it. But I admit that it is easy to fall into the trap of saying: Oh, yeah, he may have made a mistake, but he isn't (entirely) to blame. Look at the circumstances. It's easy. But as you correctly state, not everybody who has a trobleful childhood ends up a criminal. You make your own decisions and have your own responsibility.

Jesse McCartney – Beautiful Soul Lyrics 8 years ago
@[PublicEmily:5288] Thank you, Sir. When this song popped up in front of me, I couldn't believe what this young guy was singing. I read a lot about stars singing, rapping and talking about selling their souls. And this guys sings "I want you and your beautiful soul"? He clearly is channelling Satan here. But Jesse didn't write the song. And if you have no clue, you won't get this obvious example. I'm kind of shocked how blatant they are presenting their products often and they are targetting the youth. They/the devil only want/s our soul (and money). That's enough.

Sense Field – Save Yourself Lyrics 8 years ago
It's interesting how a songmeaning can change. I thought this song was about saving yourself (instead of getting help) and didn't really listen to the lyrics, but saving can mean different things. " So many times we just give it away to someone who, simeone who you met in a bar, the back of a car" is obvious, even though my songlyrics comprehension skills are low. At least a song with a decent message against just having casual sex.

Sister Sledge – We're Lost In Music Lyrics 9 years ago
It's an interesting song. For the normal listener it sounds like a song about music addiction or how awesome music is, but to me it is much more. Listen to the lyrics:

"Lost in music - caught in a trap - no turnin' back" - like in the music industry. You sign your name and sell your soul, then the journey with no return begins. It sounds awesome but most of the famous artists are just being puppets used by the record labels and the powers behind it. Still not a bad song but with this lyrical content I can't listen to it without thinking about the lyrics, look at all the Illuminati stars of today being caught in their music.

Jessie J – Price Tag Lyrics 10 years ago
Wow. A well known wealthy singer of a huge label is preaching against consumption? How fake is that? And we fall for it like idiots. I myself can't deny that I was impressed by a pop song with positve lyrics at first. But if you start digging you realize that it is all just show to make even more money by pseudo-critising something to get more recognition - I bet even media usually not interesting in Jessie J type of music were talking about it, promoting it like the next best thing. If rich people have to tell us about how bad money is then we are on the wrong way. And then I read that Jessie J was critizised and had to relativate her song statement - that was clearly just to calm the slightly critical voices, the rest was just eating the statement unfiltered like sheep.

We are blinded and we are blind.
