Lana Del Rey – Video Games Lyrics 11 years ago
I think this song is about a girl losing her virginity for the first time and then just enjoying the sexual act between her and her boyfriend.
"Go play a video game" seems to me like a request, it's her first time, yeah basically the 'video game' is in fact, the intercourse between them.

When the second verse starts she's lost her virginity and seen that sex is beautiful. They keep 'playing video games'.
That's what I think, lol :)

Linkin Park – Numb Lyrics 11 years ago
i think this song is about a parent that wants to bring the best out of his son and wants him to follow his footsteps and fulfill the desires the father/mother wasn't able to when they were kids. the child, however feels like they're pressuring him, trying to make him be something he's not and he's breaking under the pressure because his parent cant be satisfied and the worst is, its not the child's wish to do what his parent wants him to but he cant help himself.

'I cant feel you there' - he feels as though his parent has changed to the negative, they're not like they used to be, they're obsessed with his child succeeding and living the parent's dream

'But I know You were just like me With someone disappointed in you' - the child knows their parent has experienced the same and doesnt know how to treat him different because it's all the parent's ever known

Coldplay – The Scientist Lyrics 11 years ago
This is probably a long shot but in my eyes this song is about a scientist whose wife committed suicide. The thing is, he puts the blame on himself because he thinks it's his fault, he feels as though he's been neglecting his wife and replaced her with his occupation - science. Eventually he kills himself as well.

'Come up to meet you
Tell you I'm sorry
You don't know how lovely you are
I had to find you
Tell you I need you
Tell you I set you apart' - He wants to remeet her, apologise and tell her that he needed her more than she knew and above all that he knows he has, at some point, taken part in her suffering.

'Tell me your secrets
And ask me your questions
Oh let's go back to the start
Running in circles; coming up tails
Heads on a silence apart' - He wishes to start all over again, when they first met and how interested they were in each other but the line 'running in circles, coming up tails' basically says that he keeps going back to the start, seeing himself not finding an end (which visualizes the repeatedly coming up tail)

'I was just guessing at numbers and figures
Pulling your puzzles apart - He says that he would be so caught up in his job he wouldn't even think with his emotions anymore but with facts and statistics and saddenes his wife more and more

Questions of science; science and progress
Do not speak as loud as my heart' - now that his wife is gone, he's realising that it wasn't the work that made him happy but his wife, the love of his life

The last line 'I'm going back to the start' seems to me as though he commits suicide as well because he feels terriby guilty and wants to start over again now that he's finally understood what made their relationship so unfulfilled

Ed Sheeran – Lego House Lyrics 11 years ago
i think this song is about lovers who have had a relationship in the past but broke up and now are back together. from the person's view who is singing this song, it seem as if this is his last chance, he keep suggesting what to do when things are, once again, about to break.

'Im gonna pick up the pieces and build a lego house, if things go wrong we can knock it down' - the lego house is a symbol for their love. it's been built up with the broken pieces left behind from their break-up, they rebuilt it and there's no pressure this time because if they fuck up again, they'll just knock it down/break up forreal this time.

'I'm out of sight, I'm out of mind
I'll do it all for you in time' - he's implying that he's still stuck in the past at some point but that he's certainly going to do all the things to make it last, all in time of course.

'Out of all these things I've done, I think I love you better know' - he's realised his mistakes and learned from them and is convinced he's going to treat her better know

Only my interpretation :)

The Magnetic Fields – The Book of Love Lyrics 11 years ago
I personally think this song is about a person who's madly in love with someone and tells his thoughts on The Book Of Love, which in my opinion, visualizes the love itself, the love society showcases in Hollywood movies.

"No one can lift the damn thing" I would say with this line, he's indicating that no one can live up to the expectations of the "perfect love" because what we've been taught about love in the movies, isn't reality.

However when his loved one does the things he doesnt think much of such as reading TBOL to him, he loves and enjoys it although it still doesnt make sense to him but because he loves that person so much. Only my interpretation :)
