I Come to Shanghai – Call Off The Dogs (Right On) Lyrics
| 12 years ago

Perfect song. Call them off today and every day or the bird will start singing w/o using names, but providing enough information to cause others to scratch their heads and actually think. THAT is what this song is about. No more wiping ones feed on my back. End the games today. |

Lady GaGa – Alejandro Lyrics

I believe you meant to say EQUALITY under the law. (And I am not a supporter of 'gay marriage" which I don't believe can ever exit morally.) I'm with you to a point, but when society determines that God either doesn't exist or tha his teachings don't need to be followed when difficult than WHAT shall keep that envelope from being pushed closer to the edge. Gaga is a symptom of our out-of-control, hedonistic society. And what should we expect from those in a business that's primary goal is money.... |

Lady GaGa – Alejandro Lyrics

The woman is a major talent because, like Madonna in the 80's, Gaga goes all out. She's flamboyant; pushes the political/social envelope; is extremely creative; and she appears not to care what anyone thinks of her craft. I don't always agree with her lyrics, but she IS a superstar. She alone put her career in the spotlight. And after doing a little reading on her (because she has traveled quite a distance from her Catholic upbringing when it comes to her songs), I learned that the woman actually gives a lot to charitable causes, unlike MOST musicians; actors; and all those Hollywood rich people who want to bury us in big govt and high taxes. LOTS of respect here for Gaga, even though I have to shake my head at some of her lyrical choices:) |

How do you dream this sh*t up! Does it just come to you in a dream or does it take the little worm at the bottom of a tequila bottle to asist? Dang, Man. This is some retarded stuff. (Oops...I mean mentally challenged:) |

LOL...y'all are wickedly creative, but soooooo far off. Women are not men. Most women don't want more than one man. One is plenty. One is work. Granted, he may be wonderful and take care of the bills; the bedroom; fixing crap around the house, but I have yet to meet EVEN ONE woman that wants a second man:) You've obviously never been married! |

Cyndi Lauper – True Colors Lyrics

You might not be accepted either if you called yourself a "lezbian." ;) Never heard Cyndi say this song was about her sister, but I suppose it could be. It's a great song regardless of who she wrote it about. I like to think it's about everyone who, at one time or another, feels as though s/he is an outkast. We've all been there...some more often than others. The song's also about strength...standing tall when you feel as though you are in the thick of things and cannot go on... |

What does your screenname mean? Is it kind of like a lamha in fall? I'm serious; I've been trying to decipher it for months. |

Sex? Than he surely doesn't want it 'cause he's waitin' with a gun. And I don't think he meant it metahorically (however ya spell that dumb word). |

Genesis – Silver Rainbow Lyrics
|
Could be about sex with someone the first time...with the zipper being the 'silver rainbow' and the pot of gold being....well, you know. Not knowing if one is coming or going could just be the thrill from sex, especially when it's with someone (he hopefully likes) for the first time. Interesting song. Never knew what it meant, but I was also never a Genesis fan. |

Laura Marling – Night After Night Lyrics

Interesting interpretation. I like it. On a personal note (not that I ever refrain from openingmy big, "obnoxious" mouth), guilt and shame do not last when amends are made. Forgiveness of another and forgiveness of self are wonderful antidotes. The shame lies with not making amends. Initial wrongs are never forgotten, but they are forgiven. |

Contrary to Hollywood romance movies and novels, love lost is painful period. It's not romantic or glowing or firework-y. It sux. With that said, I have NO clue what this song means. I just didn't like your commentary all that much. Call me Mardy Bum. |

The Wanted – Glad You Came Lyrics

This is a really well-rounded song (lyrics; vocals; instrumentals....I can never think of a better word than the latter, and that word sux, unfortunately). Anyway, it's NOT about sex. Well, it could be, but I hope it isn't. I hope it's more special than a physical act. Overall (musically) it reminds me of FTP's song about the gun and Goyte's hit. It has that special quality....catchy, danceable (is that even a word and did I spell it correctly?) yet thought-provoking. She shines a light that he wishes to capture....by spending some time with her. It's quite beautiful. Darn, I talk too much... |

Siouxsie and the Banshees – Take Me Back Lyrics
| 12 years ago

Home is a metaphor, I believe. For some, home is the structure which contains beloved family members. For others home is the neighborhood pub with guy friends and beer games. For others it's the dance clubs; young girlfriends; and the beach. Home is whereever one feels he belongs...where he's the most comfortable. And one cannot be forced or guilted or beaten into leaving "home." Home is what it is ...where the individual feels the most comfortable; loved; respected; and happy. We all have different types of homes. And some homes were never meant to be shared... |

Typical response when a person doesn't have either the brain power or common sense and decency to respond honestly. THIS is when a person's IQ means little. I'll take your comment(s) as a win against bigotry. Next time post about blacks and bitches. I'm sure you have some hidden animosity for them as well... |

Curious. We may be able to agree that the majority of people who appear to hate religion (at least organized) are the same who vote for the liberal agenda of higher taxes and even larger govt, which means more govt control. Why is that? Why do people who say they hate corruption and control (ie. the church) vote Democratic. THAT has always stumped me. Care to respond maturely and w/o insults??? |

In many faiths there is NO power. The clery does not get wealthy. Some even take vows of powerty. Who sees power when they see a priest OTHER than some slimy televangelists on TV raking in the dough that the gullible gladly hand over? The church does not yeild power like a government does. Funny, but most people who complain (and stereotype) the church vote democratic...wanting higher taxes and bigger govt. And it's easy to call someone dense from behind a computer screen. You would never dare say it so easily to my face. |

For every evil that MAN committs under the church umbrella, I'm guessing hundreds of positive actions take place. There is more right with religion than wrong with it. We just hear about the wrongs! |

You have just removed free will and free thinking; you have made the assumption that Christians can't think for themselves; can't pick a church they like; can't leave a church they hate; can't disagree with church leaders; can't not put money in the collection plate; etc. THAT is what is wrong with your argument. And when you generalize about Christians, it's no different than generalizing about Jews (they're stingy); Arabs (they're terorists); fat people (they're lazy); etc. |

I look down on no one. I do; however, look down on arguments based on gross generalizions and prejudice. YOU are prejudice. For some reason it's OK for Americans to be prejudiced against Christians, but they're awfully progressive when they're talking about atheists; gays; anti-war activists; etc. You have one experience with religion/faith, yet you base your argument on that alone? Reminds me of the man who was robbed by a black man and now all black men are suspect:) |
