Very nice work. "The realization that you are like this when your intentions seemed purer is destructive and confusing; it's a good place to come clean, but it's hard to wash off the muck you can't find."....exposes the whole "prop" comment as the lie it is. Good band!

LOL...I thought it was going to be a song about the disgusting swim suits for males (and I was going to recommend it for a mixtape about Canada...where I used to see TOO many men wearing speedos:). However, this song is about a wanna be clubbing pickup artist who seldom scores. Reminds me of the older slimy disco dudes in the late 70's. (Man, they got A's for effort, but they usually went home alone:). I cannot count how many of their disgusting hands I used to remove from my underage teenage butt! |

Just a GREAT dance track with a simple message....feel good about your life. Feel good about yourself. I dance with myself in my vehicle's seat whenever it plays over the radio. Hey, there are no complaints about my partner so I'm one happy lil' clam! Flo Rida's got a hit on his hands...at least with this listener. It's a hip-moving song with a great sound. And for a chance he hasn't included sex in it....also a nice change (although I am NOT complaining about his sexual songs 'cause they are GOOD:) |

This song will mean many different things to those who hear it, but we can probably all agree that it's beautiful. I am not a fan of metal, but this song (by a band I would never otherwise have listened to) is unbelieveably gorgeous. It's about being apart from someone you love, whether it be a significant other; a loving parent; a precious child; a trusted friend; etc. The person trusts the relationship s/he has with another, and trust is a precious, beautiful yet all-too-rare aspect of the human condition. GORGEOUS song. |

I have a different take and I would like to believe I am correct (for so seldom I actually am:). He will promise her the world, but he won't marry her. The song is from a decade when sleeping w/ and/or cohabitating with someone outside of matrimony was a no no in the eyes of society (and always God). Most women wanted marriage to be the climax of the relationship. The singer can and will give her many things, but he is unwilling to ever marry her. HA...prove me wrong! |

Upbeat; catchy; energetic; fast song that I adore. It used to play throughout the Sigma Chi frat house constantly when I both partied there a few years and lived there one summer. Obviously about a young guy wanting to score (and only score) but she gets the last laugh when he impregnates her and he is either stuck with her and/or stuck paying child support. It's a great dance track with a good moral message...ya do the crime ya gotta do the time:) Definitely Meat Loaf's best. |

From the lyrics it appears he's unable to truly love anyone. Meat Loaf was King a few decades ago. His songs were played a frat parties across the country. I miss his music. |

At the time this song was written, it was NOT written as a sex song. Body parts and sex acts (ex. brick house; pearl necklace; etc.) were inferred, but the 'talk' was not blatant. Radio stations would not have played such music "back in the day." I recall dancing to this song in the clubs and it was always fun. I thought it was about a guy who hung out at clubs to dance, like a John Travola type thing. (There was always a few in polyesther who were regulars trying to take girls home...and usually not scoring. More often than not they are our fathers' age and divorced:) This is a short, high energy song and perfect for the decade in which it originated. |

Why "glam rock?" Most of the artists of that day dressed and wore their hair like Sweet. We just called them rockers back then. This song is so HIGH energy. They lyrics really make no matter as it's a dance track. It's got the beat. And for about a decade in music that was all that mattered when it came to music. Much of the stuff made absolutely no sense, but we didn't care. If the dance floors were filled with hormonal girls and testosterone-ridden guys (all spending money on booze) life was good! The bars were great in the late 70's and early 80's....not pick up places so much as they are today; rather, just places to go and dance the night away. |

Confusing song. Is he seducing drunk women? Is he saying w/ the first one that she's not much to look at but he'll have sex with her regardless (how manly and kind of him:). I'm guessing it's just a song about an arrogant guy who's impressed with himself and his nads. As long as they will have sex with him (even drunk), he'll take it. Typical rap song. I happen to like Flo Rida's music, but some of it (like many rap songs) are so ANTI-FEMALE...just the objectifying of women as less than objects. We don't even rate the shiny object status! Our vaginas are holes to be filled; our backsides are there so the guy doens't have to look at us in the eye or even know our names as he gets off; and our mouths are there not for romantic and loving kissing, but for oral sex. Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Sorry for the soapbox rant, but I guess the club scene just isn't for me. I am quite happy to belong to a generation where one-night-stands were far fewer and love actually mattered when it came to a fun night of passion. Ugh. |

Such a simplistic and beautiful song. I wonder if Nina sang songs that originated with the slaves. I imagine many slave mothers sang lullabies to their babies to bring them as much comfort as possible. It's sad, though, the line about daddy's and mamas protecting their babies when so many "brown babies" are raised by single, young mothers. Thankfully, that sad trend seems to be changing. I hope so anyway. |
