Every time I listen to this and listen to the lyrics I think of Kerouac's 'On The Road', and a few other people I know have thought that too before we even mentioned it. Just the imagery and the naming of towns and I'm pretty sure there's a snippet in the book talking about there being not much room in the car and having no room for their knees. A great novel and a great song. |

Jesus Christ, an exceptionally written simple song about how appearance and sexual preferences do not matter as after all as "they love each other so." Nothing hilarious about it, urine stalls as a metaphor, as in only a typically male way to uriniate will be long forgotten whenever sex becomes irrelevant and love conquers all, simple. |

"The cow noises are too much" - That's the whole point!!!
I agree with each to their own to an extent and it is personal choice but Morrissey knew he had a platform and used it well to get the point across that meat IS murder no matter what way you look at it. And I don't think growing up where someone did or didn't kill rabbits is going to change that if you educate yourself and have thought about the subject. Propagandhi's "Nailing Descartes to the Wall/(Liquid) Meat Is Still Murder" is another great song about this. |

That first verse specifically says 'Sandor Katz' therefore it is not an animal, but Sandor Katz!!
A lot of you are taking this song the wrong way. As Jord said, it is a satirical look at eating meat in a 'humane' way. As many hold the killing of animals up there with homophobia, racism and sexism etcetera which I won't go into, it is essentially saying well what is the difference between me 'humanely' killing and animal and you, Sandor Katz. |
