This song is named after Gil Meche, former pitcher of the Seattle Mariners (location where the band was founded). This can be confirmed through KEXP.org's 10-19-2008 session with the band at the Gibson Showroom.
I believe the lyrics are "Shout out to the world". |

Yeah. I don't get how you conclude the end of the title is supposed to be filled in with the band's name? If anything, it'd be "Monsters" since it's the following song on the album AND they have a very similar chord progression. |

This song has a similar melody and chord progression as the following song on the album, "Monsters". Perhaps they could be consider companion pieces. "I Go to the Barn Because I Like the Monsters"? But even then, that doesn't answer it's meaning. It's a shame neither Matt or Ben perform it live anymore. It's one of my favorites too. |

The lyrics should be "I'm driving over in Moclips baby with the whole neighborhood in tow". Moclips is a small ocean-town in Washington State, about three hours outside of Seattle where BoH was formed. |
