Alexander Ebert – Truth Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I have read an interview of Alex Ebert in a french magazine in which he explains this songs. He said: "TRUTH : au lieu d’éviter, de cacher mes cotés sombres et ceux du monde, il faut les accepter, les aimer jusqu’à qu’il en ressorte du bon." Which means in english (sorry for my poor english): "TRUTH: instead of avoiding, hidding our dark sides and those of the world, we have to accept them, love them until something good emerges of them." |
TV on the Radio – Dreams Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Firstly, soory for my english, i'm french... This song reminds me a friend who became drug addict. "All your dreams are over now And all your wings have fallen down" He drop out his projects and dreams, to busy by his addiction. "Broke trust in two Now no one's looking out for you Why keep it cruel Why waste so much to play the fool" He lost his girlfrined, friend and family support because he robed them and lied to them "And maybe I'm the fool but I think we'd find That we could all be so so kind If you'd just leave your tread mill powertrip behind Oh leave your treadmill powertrip behind And maybe it's best that you're so so blind It's best that your so so blind Because your heart can't grieve I know your heart can't grieve I know your heart can't grieve What your eyes won't see But you were my favorite moment Of our dead century" He didn't listen his friend's warning and didn't realize that his life was falling apart. |
