| To me this song is about how there is an emptiness in most people's lives. They don't know what is missing, so they try and 'fill' it with whatever they feel works, and that can mean any kind of addiction, sex, drugs, food, anything that can temporarily end their craving, and make them feel whole, even though its only for a short time. I look at the people in my life and how they fill their hollow, like my mom who fills it with religion and others who fill it with trying to find an escape, like tv, video games, etc. Its really sad when you think about it, how many people can honestly say that they are truly happy and lead fulfilling lives? | |
