I believe that dunking her doughnut in his tea is just one of the quirky, unique things she does that endears her to him. Like tearing up her 1/2 of the winnings just for fun, or saying she likes how Spike Jones talks, but not how he sings - it's funny because he was famous for his singing and his band. He probably didn't do much talking. The whole song is kind of quirky and endearing that way! :-) |
