Hole – Olympia Lyrics

this is a diss on riot grrrls, many of whom courtney love made life long enemies with. The members of the three major riot grrrl bands, Bikini Kill, Bratmobile, and Heavens to Betsy were students at Evergreen State College in Olympia, and were a big part of the Olympia music scene. I think Courtney Love is referring to their feminist song lyrics when she says "fascist sexist". the opening part of this where she messes up a few times is clearly a jab at the Riot Grrrl's musical abilities. She has the belief that Riot Grrrls don't know how to play their instruments, but she's a moron. |

"how should i know?"...
It's about a white feminist confronting her racism. |

I always interpreted this as she needs a man to escort her around because it's too dangerous for her to go out by herself many times. and she's sick of it. " |

PJ Harvey – No Girl So Sweet Lyrics

the seed being planted is either the seed of an abusive relationship in which he dominates her. Or, "there ain't nothing, no girl so sweet" and she's about to take her revenge. I like to think of it either way, depending on my mood. |

still, it's a really, really cool double meaning, even/especially if it's coincidental. |
