Mumford & Sons – Feel the Tide Lyrics | 13 years ago |
To me, this song is saying "hold onto what you believe" even when situations are bad and other people have trouble keeping the faith. I think it also stresses the importance of fellowship because its easier to hold on to something when you have someone there to help you out and get you through the hard times. |
Mumford & Sons – Lover of the Light Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I think its religious. I can't seem to connect "lover of the light" to anything romantic. Jesus is often referred to as the light of the world. I have done wrong, so build your tower But call me home and I will build a throne I know that the Bible talks about making our bodies temples for the lord and how the holy spirit dwells inside of us. I might be wrong though. |

Mumford & Sons – White Blank Page Lyrics | 13 years ago |
This is my take. Can you lie next to her And give her your heart, your heart As well as your body And can you lie next to her And confess your love, your love As well as your folly And can you kneel before the king And say I'm clean, I'm clean -This is Jesus talking. Hes comparing normal relationships with your relationship with God. In relationships you have to have give the other your heart and you need to be able to admit when you are in the wrong. Same goes with the relationship with God. The only other way to get to God besides giving him your heart and confessing your sins would be if you are perfect but noone can stand before call "and say, I'm clean." But tell me now, where was my fault In loving you with all my heart -God again saying "Why do you reject my endless love for you?" pretty much A white blank page and a swelling rage, rage You did not think when you sent me to the brink, the brink You desired my attention but denied my affections, my affections - A white blank page is a metaphor for Jesus and how he is perfect. Jesus/God is upset when you put restrictions on his power over you. You only want God to bless you but you don't actually care about what hes done for you already through Jesus and you have denied him. Lead me to the truth and I will follow you with my whole life - The last line is a plea from mankind for God to show men the truth because man cannot find it on his own, it has to be shown to him by the holy spirit. |
