This song quite truthfully is about the death of some of Robert's family members, i think his mother was one of them? In it he talks about how he tries to use religious faith to comfort him but can't find it. Beautiful song, one of my faves. |

its just about two people in a relationship. one of them (the narrator) is a romantic and always has their head in the clouds (absent minded) and loves stories (the book references). The other person is very modern in their views, very cynical and doesnt believe in love. This song is just talking about trying to find love in modern society, whilst holding old fashioned views of love. |

this song to me is just about mankind in general and all our actions. The way we believe that, "if it can be broken it can be fixed", the way we believe that everything we do is reversible. This means we plunder the earth and experiment with hormones in animals we eat and all that dodgy stuff, yet believe its never going to be too late too change back. Clearly wrong, change the world and peace!! :L :) |
