Perhaps the song is saying that no matter what she does , she is still astonishingly impressive in who she is . People tend to give recognition to those who are always seemingly on top of things, and who always put a "strong face " on, however, being amazing doesn't have to involve perfection, it has to involve getting through life with a certain optimism or resilient attitude which is what makes the person amazing - the ability to conquer everything, not the ability or falsity to lie and pretend that everything is okay, when it is not. The person who is amazing ,though, needs to realize that her expectations about her own talents and skills shouldn't rely on other peoples opinions and feedback, because they will soon leave, and if she doesn't keep her own image alive, then she will fall down, as many times as people leave her, which will be always - except one person, who thinks shes amazing because he loves her enough to watch her fall and get back up. |

| I guess this song may be about a relationship that was falsified to benefit the needs of two lonely people, but in the end , being free from a relationship or friendship that held a positive person on one end and a negative person on the other, was much better for the optimistic person. The cynical person wanted to stick around because he was selfish, but the women knew better , that the situation [whatever it was] was not worth her tears; and not even money could buy her happiness, it just deteriorated her "priceless" worth. This song is sung from my soul :-) In my opinion, it's about a person whom is judged by something other then her true personality,(her looks,attitude,clothing,etc) and she resents herself for it in a certain extent, thinking perhaps there is something wrong with her, but in the end she finds that everything is all about perception. Therefore, if people don't understand her because of their different ways of being, or their critical judgements --- they won't have the time to comprehend her or even appreciate the free spirit that she is, despite how life treats everyone. So, it isn't that shes an idiot or a fool, she feels like a misfit because she is unique and doesn't follow the norm (fashion tends, politics,religion, etc) she does whatever makes her happy without regards to anyone else's opinion about it. Angels watching over me, With smiles upon their face, Cause' I have made it through this far, In an unforgiving place. A higher spiritual power is watching her face and conquer life's obstacles. Where does my destiny lead me to? I don't know, but I am staying on the ride until I am satisfied. I'll tell you what, What I have found, That i'm no fool, I'm just upside down. Ain't got no cares, I ain't got no rules, I think i like living upside down. I used to think something was the matter with my outlook in life, and that I was weird and did not belong, but I've discovered in myself that I am just someone who views things with different perspectives , and I hate being restricted in my thinking. No cares [in my opinion] I don't have children to watch or a husband to attend to, and I hope that this limitless freedom remains my outlook in life even if I were to have serious obligations. I don't follow rules subtly, meaning that if it isn't normal to wear sunglasses indoors, I'll wear them if I want too, if I want to go and date someone who is totally incompatible with me, I'm going to do it if I want too, although I fit expectations, sometimes I reject them to showcase my independent spirit. Watching people scurry by, Rushing to and fro, Oh this world is such a crazy place, It's all about the go go go. People don't stop to think or ask philosophical questions, that need reasoning for them . People have become integrated with modern technology in itself perhaps, or have only focused on the future, without regard to the here and now aspect of life, where still life is still not moving, and the sky is ignored because it is only a sky to some people. People are stressed out with work, education, and personal affairs, but don't remember to really enjoy that cup of coffee. Sometimes life can taste so sweet, When you slow it down, You start to see the world a little differently, When you turn it upside down. When you begin to appreciate life for the little things as well, things are more sweet, meaning enjoyable because this may add onto our hectic lives. When you have a perception and free spirit like mine, you enjoy these things in a timeless essence. |

This is a beautiful song. I wish there were more interpretations,however, than judgmental opinions. This is exactly what the song is saying. He feels better if he were higher then this society. These comments prove it. Can you blame him? Great song -- and for those who didn't apparently learn this in "Bambi" -- "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say nothing at all." A kid flick has more morals than some of the comments I've seen posted here -- it is embarrassing. Anyway, I like songs for the song, even if I don't like the band or whatever. If the song touches you, then it touches you. If it doesn't, move on and find another song :) |

This song is amazing -- I believe that this song refers to the conformity of the world, and that people with low self worth and self doubt feel the need to control others because of their own insecurities. Positions of power are way overused (politics,teachers,religion,cops,bosses,etc) and people who are "below" ranking, tend to go along with the flow because the system is set in a certain way of ruling -- however, all you have to do, to stay true to yourself and not take anyone's BS, is to stand up for yourself, no matter what --- having faith, means that even if a situation ends poorly, your faith and belief in something better -- will in fact happen . Runaway and save your life may translate in saying free your spirit, because without saving your spirit then you have no life --- inside you are dead . |

The song is set at some sort of prom type occasion and he is in the corner of the room. trying to prepare himself for the confession he is about to make to this girl. Taken on a literal sense, this song generally means a woman who is "yummy", like a milkshake, it taste good and brings you pleasure when you are enjoying it. On a more context level, it could mean that milkshake is using the body to tease the boys and they like it, so she flaunts it. What I personally think is the true meaning of the song (Coming from a woman's perspective) Is the combination of the two. Basically,a woman who has high sex appeal, does not mean that she does sexual favors for the trashy attention. It just means that she has confidence in herself, which in turn makes her whole image look tasty. Its almost like an art of seduction, and the confident woman knows how to attract attention, without even trying. She flaunts her body, but because its sexy and shes proud of it because she has enough confidence in herself. People in general are attracted to confidence, and this makes them sexy and like a milkshake, you want some-- and for the woman who do not possess confidence , which makes them have less sex appeal, they get envious of the woman who is attracting the attention because woman in general like attention , and the lyrics are stating how "I can teach you, but I have to charge," yet contradicts when it states it cannot be brought. What she has within is worth more then the sex appeal itself. Unlike strippers and prostitutes that get payed, this is a clear distinction that it is not about sex for money , but its about a woman's natural abilities which she has mastered, and learned how to use,in order for her to have charisma in the room, which has all eyes looking-- and woman hate her for it cause they don't have what she has . When the boys say "there like, its better then yours" it should be on the same line, because its stating to the envious woman, that yeah, the guys think I am more delicious and desirable . |
