Gorillaz – Superfast Jellyfish Lyrics | 13 years ago |
i love reading all these comments. I guess we could say that it's basically a deep message in a messy drugged up high package. I personally know and have accustomed to living in the filthy wasteful and fake world. It would be hard to imagine otherwise. This fake food, it'll pile up inside us. We are literally beings of plastic. When I die, I have requested a cremation. Our bodies are so plastic now, it takes weeks for it to rot. The plastic that is "saving us" is also quite literally preventing us from passing on. |
Gorillaz – Rhinestone Eyes Lyrics | 13 years ago |
this song makes me think of being shut up in feel good tower again, only this time, th windmill is not there, and the summer is melancholic and fake. The acid and oily rain fall from the sky, slick, and shining like diamonds. But like everything else, it is so fake, like rhinestones. The rhinestones fall from the sky, from the filthy confines of the fake world's places. |

Gorillaz – Latin Simone (Que Pasa Contigo) Lyrics | 13 years ago |
The state of the world is well described in this song. The fan made video does it much justice. |
Gorillaz – Stylo Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I like to think it's about how electricity and fake energy and life have been created to suit our present needs. Gorillaz is neither putting up or putting down this, it's just stating it as a fact. at least, that's what I think. |
Gorillaz – Some Kind Of Nature Lyrics | 14 years ago |
to me, this is about the kind of fake "nature" we have created that we live in. |
Gorillaz – Rockit Lyrics | 14 years ago |
to me, it just sounds like someone going through the process of being celebrities. you're going for your dream, but you don't know where you're headed. you've drunkenin this lifestyle, with fake all around you. drugs and alcohol, you can't take it anymore. when you finally start to curve around, you fall further. eventually all your thoughts and experiences and drugs "lock you in your head" after you've tried to charm the world into your ways. then again, I'm 14. what exactly, do I know? |
Gorillaz – Fire Coming Out of the Monkey's Head Lyrics | 14 years ago |
.... every nature/invasion/representation movie (Pocahontas, Ferngully, Avatar)I've ever seen rolled up into a 3 minute and something seconds song. Since, it can be represented as any struggling society as you like, Gorillaz in genius. |
Gorillaz – Don't Get Lost in Heaven Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I see the cocaine references just like anyone else, but I think that it's also saying that you shouldn't think heaven (dying) is so great, because it'll be like suburbia, all dressed up in "perfect people" with "perfect" lives, that make all and any other living there to be insubstantial..... It kind of reminds me a bit of apartheid, and how the gates on "heaven" are just as much to keep you "in" as others who can't reach heaven "out". IDK. I'm just feeling a bit "preachy" today. :P |
Gorillaz – 19-2000 Lyrics | 14 years ago |
To me this song is wanting to hold on to the things that are slowing us down, like old technology, and stuff. To me, it's saying, Gorillaz is cheerful, and wants to create a cheerful song, no matter how melancholy the song is in a subtext. Get the cool shoeshine? it's related to the song itself, with the lead nike shoes bit, but also... well, because they CAN. Gorillaz just can. My best guess. this is my first review, after all. :P |
