I have read the comments and done some searching because I love this song. It has such atmosphere. I think that the Pickens County Bandits are a Third Man Production. It could be Jack's voice or someone else's, but I think that he is definitely behind it. Consider these clues. The Youtube video of Ask the Milkman was posted within a day of the release of Consolers of the Lonely by someone calling himself Consoler of the Lonely. I can find nothing anywhere that lists band members the PCB. Also, their Myspace page lists their record label as Bigger Room Records. Go back to the White Stripes album White Blood Cells and the song Little Room. Some have speculated that the song is specifically about going from a "little" label or audience to a bigger one. Okay, I officially have too much time on my hands, but that's another song. |
